Also have to score to press, we weren’t doin much of that vs creighton. When they have pressed they have looked pretty good at it to me, I think if we pressed Creighton more we would have won that game.

Sim going through a rough stretch now, like most players do. Kid has the goods and his production is vital if we want to be successful. If only we can get him to the FT line more, 94% (16-17). Keeping the faith with Wilcher. It's time for the guy in the photo to step up. Amazing to see how other guys on this team get the brunt of criticism/frustration on this board, and Sim is relatively ignored after heat-in-the-moment game threads...
His shooting stats against BE opponents who aren't DePaul:
@ Providence: 1/10 FG, 1/3 3pt, 0/0 FT - 31 minutes
@ Creighton: 3/11 FG, 0/0 3pt, 0/0 FT - 34 minutes
vs. Butler: 1/8 FG, 0/3 3pt, 2/2 FT - 18 minutes
That equals to 5/29 FG (17%),1/6 3pt and only two free throw attempts.
That is just not acceptable. This is also not even considering his immature outbursts in games that have led to costly fouls and stupid turnovers during important parts of the game.
It’s clear he has the talent. He was really impressive against DePaul. The scrutiny on this board towards other players compared to him is a little mind boggling to me since his main role is his shooting.Sim going through a rough stretch now, like most players do. I like his mid range game too. As I said elsewhere, I think he should shoot that more to get on track, at least for a game or 2. A lot of the guys are underperforming so far, but them older ones, who have experience and track records, have been the focus because more was expected of them. Incremental or big improvement by a few, together with sustained defensive intensity, would do wonders. It’s clear he has the talent. He was really impressive against DePaul. I honestly find the amount of free throw attempts and three point attempts the worst part. He should be shooting five a game (especially with Brady out), and should be trying to get to the line.
No because obviously they were not even close to being all 3 point shots. So you’re saying he would’ve been our best shooter against Butler?
Agree, getting and staying in shape is within one’s control. Shooting slumps come and go, but not being well conditioned is inexcusable.Pretty logical, however if I may press (pardon the pun) a bit...I just don't want Kadary to be given special coddling. Figure it out, be in the right spots...you're not a freshmen...this is year 5 of college ball. And while I'm sure this is partially to do with the whole conditioning / weight thing Pitino mentioned last week...it's a BS excuse in January and not fair to his teammates who are in proper condition.
Aside from potential long term injuries since summer preventing work needed, it's Inexcusable for both player & staffAgree, getting and staying in shape is within one’s control. Shooting slumps come and go, but not being well conditioned is inexcusable.

Just once huh?Pick up the W and a case of Graeter's Ice Cream from Cincy (IMO, the best ice cream - especially Black Rasperry Chip).
Let them keep the Skyline Chili Five Way. Fun to eat once.
Didn't see game there but took daughter to tour school in late 2019. They held an open house in the arena..got to sit in arena seats when they did large speaker presentations. It was great views and felt on top of court.Looks like an unbelievable place to play on campus.
