Scott is going to turn the shooting woes around if not tonight then very soon and when he does he'll go back to being a fan favorite because he does everything else well including hustling like hell.
I’ll add he and Zuby are two prime examples of those hard working, no baggage, highly coachable guys who are appreciated by HCs more than ever in an era so rife with selfishness and ego mania.

Very nice to hear Scott speak on the team and his shooting. Seems confident so I am looking forward to him improving and reverting back to what he has been his career, a reliable mid and long rang shooter. That would do wonders for this team...

(While reading the story, and RP's exhortation to keep shooting, I could not help but have bad memories of Pat Riley allowing John Starks to keep shooting the Knicks out of the championship in 1994, with his Game 7 3-18)
Not to quibble but Starks actually shot an astounding 2-18. 🤦☹️

Like most of you wondering why the team isn't pressing more...player told me 2fold
1) Until everyone back he's worried about depth and fatigue, especially KR
2) Coach is not yet confident they understand how if/when press is beaten to drop back into man D without giving up quick easy shots. Rick likes where they are at in half court D ...As they heal and get a better understanding of finding that man D out of a presses i suspect we will see it more often

Makes a lot of sense, thx 79

Pretty logical, however if I may press (pardon the pun) a bit...I just don't want Kadary to be given special coddling. Figure it out, be in the right spots...you're not a freshmen...this is year 5 of college ball. And while I'm sure this is partially to do with the whole conditioning / weight thing Pitino mentioned last week...it's a BS excuse in January and not fair to his teammates who are in proper condition.

Would think especially true tonight with Glover unavailable in addition to Brady.

In the Butler game when the Johnnies were down. Couple points . They pressed with Kadary on the bench and regained the lead.

We had some trouble with a so-so Butler team in the friendly confines of CA, so we cannot play like we did on Saturday or this is an "L" at Cintas Center (or whatever it's called nowadays).

Big game for Zuby as I think he matches up well with Freemantle (better than Kalkbrenner matchup). Redemption game for Simeon for his mess-up vs. Butler. Plus, no way we shoot as badly as Saturday.

Aaron comes out of his slump, and RJ and Kadary have their normal game.

My sleeper for having a real good game is Devion, he can do it.
