@Xavier, Tue., Jan. 7 , 6:30p, FS-1

Didn't see game there but took daughter to tour school in late 2019. They held an open house in the arena..got to sit in arena seats when they did large speaker presentations. It was great views and felt on top of court.
most important... how was the leg room?

The thing is I just don’t see us ever having significant available PT for all four of those guys so something has got to give.

Went to SJU game out there in, say, 2020. Great mid-size arena. Real seats. Good views. X crowd sitting behind us was welcoming. Aisles and hallways were wide. Concessions and souvenir/fan shops were good. Had a kinda' Hall of Fame space. The model we should look at if we ever pull the trigger on a new arena.

Hopefully the Mr. Hyde team shows up tonight instead of the Dr.Jekyll version or something like that. Please give me a reason to believe. Go St. John’s.

Ok. Here is my hot take on this game tonight.

I think this is a great spot for us. We got lucky in regards to our shooting so bad and still winning thanks to good defense and timely plays towards the end vs butler. I think our guys know how terrible they have been shooting the ball more than us fans.
Also there were not too many days off from the butler game and no weather issues getting to Xavier and love the comments made by guys on the team.

I think they come out and play the type of game everyone says why can’t they do this every game. I’m sure they understand how important this game is and what a fine line a tremendous season we could have could turn into oh no not again.

I see this game as a cover for us (yea a win as the line is 1-1/2) but I see it more in the 7-12 point range.

Now go play inspired ball Johnnie’s!!!!

Bookmark this post for great job Eric or here is egg in your face Eric. 😁

I think he will awesome next year with Zuby and Prey.

Standing next to them, I agree, his height does make him look awesome. Even standing on the court it does, but when tipoff occurs, not so much.

He is a huge project and if he sees major minutes next year it means one of three things with two of them being bad:

1. We lost at least two out of Zuby, Vince or Reuben and either didn’t replace them or replaced them with l
projects

2. Our big man rotation has been decimated by injuries

3. Maker has made such tremendous strides in his overall game in one year, the likes that have never been seen here before and probably will never be again.

As for tonight,

Just win!!!
