I felt the need to cut this up and put it together...Aaron was so damn good yesterday. A joy to watch a guy who has been slumping a bit had a game like that

When Scott is flying to the basket on both sides, we are a different team. We need give him all the praise in the world when he plays like this to encourage more of it. It's back-breaking combined with RJ and Zuby.

I agree w LMF hoping certain guys get untracked re three point attempts. In the meantime, I appreciate our length, physicality and ability to deflect and disrupt. When three point shooting ticks up to acceptable level hopefully, we will have a lot going for us. 🤞on that.

Don’t see us improving dramatically from there but honestly as long as we defend the three it will diminish the issue that we can’t shoot them.
Think as long as the right people taking them, we should take maybe 10 a game.

Not looking for “dramatic” improvement, just reasonable uptick. Of course, you need the right guys shooting them.

When you are quoting high school accolades as the only support for a player midway through their junior season, you know you’ve got no argument.

He’s awful on defense. Reverse the ball twice he’s scrambling likes it’s musical chairs.

He should go to lower level to a system that will keep him in the lane and let him play 25 minutes.

If he saves a year of eligibility for Maker, he will have been worth it. Hopefully he can have a couple of good games like Curtis Johnson before he transfers.

You're pretty much both right. The late pick up of the game and the health issues his first two years had to eat into his development. He's not your typical junior who's been playing for 10 plus years at a high level with an intuitive approach to the game at this point. His ratings were primarily based on potential that has been hampered by the heart issue, the knee and what my Trojan friends out here would call the curse of USC basketball. But his physical tools are great, but as you say his reaction time and body control aren't naturally developed as of yet. IMVHO

I haven't read the whole thread but the team just kicked butt last night. I think midway through the second half X was just demoralized by the physicality and relentlessness. We were the bullies who stole their lunch money. If this the identity of this team I'm more than OK with it.

This was a different team than the one that played against Butler. I am now waiting for the split personality team that can shoot 3s consistently to show up. Great W on the road.

This team kind of reminds me of the TCU team from 21-22 that knew they couldn’t shoot but just went and got every offensive rebound. They were a 9 seed that smoked SHU in the 1st round then lost to Arizona in OT in the 2nd round. We’re more talented though
interesting comparison, i wonder how their numbers stack up side by side
