@Xavier, Tue., Jan. 7 , 6:30p, FS-1

I think Kadary plays good defenses, plays the angles, has great hands, two steals a game, rebounds well. I think he gets a bad rap on this board
His great court vision carries over to the defensive end. A lot of his steals are made by predicting reactions to on ball pressure from his teammates. He's often moving toward where the ball will be, before the intended receiver knows it's coming.

Even if that is true, beating a similar team on the road is not an easy task.

I think we match up with Marquette well. They don’t rebound, they don’t really block shots, or bully in the paint. They aren’t a great 3 pt shooting team. We play great defense but we can abuse them on the offensive glass.
True, they really don't have much presence down low.

Another game watched on tape, have not read any comments, but just excellent game from start to finish; focused, committed, from everyone who stepped on the court. Best 40 minute game I have seen from the Johnnie’s in a long time. Not perfect but a sustained level of effort from start to finish. Whatever that elusive “chemistry” is, they certainly had it tonight. IMO, this is one that can and hopefully will springboard them forward.
Excellent timeout from Pitino at the 7:26 mark, not waiting when 18 point lead went to 13 quickly and Johnnie’s came out re-focused.

Recorded after the game last night, a big road win, the second of the year. This was a team win.
Kadary set the tone, Aaron Scott shined, Wilcher, Zuby and RJ filled the gaps. It was a big and needed road win that should build a lot of momentum and confidence heading into MSG this Saturday

Huge road win...very happy for Aaron Scott, who gives 100% each and every play.

+just finished watching tape. What an effort game on the road! Very pleased overall.

This post didn't age well. ;)

True . Scott had a very good game . Up to now ,,hadn’t contributed much offensively . Couple of games with Zero points .
His shot still is MIA but ,he was a factor last night . Played much more aggressively .
Hope he can deliver as much the rest of the way .

Great job Dave..... good win last night even when shooting terrible from three again. If/when the shooting comes around this Johnnies team is a team no one is going to want to play. Looking forward to a rocking Saturday night against Villanova at the Garden. FYI>... watched Georgetown last night against Marquette [third time watching them this year] and this is a vastly improved team and not a "lock" win on the road or at home.

This is sarcasm, right? He has the worst timing and uses the worst angles of anyone I have ever seen in a St. John’s uniform. He has no clue who to cover and at one point was double-teaming a corner shooter until his teammate literally threw him back to the paint.

When he’s in the game, everyone who knows basketball holds their breath for Zuby.
I could be wrong, but aren't you the guy that spent the entire season bashing Jenkins? Lot of credibility here. We'll have to agree to disagree.

Well another game even I can't complain about. Always good to go to X and come out with a win. RSR - Fun stat of the day... A couple of friends of mine that are SHU fans said, "Man, does RJ ever pass". To which I responded not usually. So today I counted EVERYTIME RJ Luis passed the ball. Here are the rules, anytime he intentional got the ball into another player on the team hands, except no inbounds passes. Handoffs yes, inbouds no.

RJ passed the 16 times. 2 were handoffs and 2 were in the back court. By comparison he took 14 shots. He had 1 assists on those 16 passes. Team rankings.com said STJ had 83 possessions, RJ Luis played 28 minutes or 70% of the game. He played for 57 possessions and averaged .28 passes per possession. :D
I will concede that RJ passes the ball at least 35% of the time when he has no other choice. The other 65% of the time when he has no other choice, not so much. The boy is the reincarnation of Zendon Hamilton as a wing. As the guy across the aisle from me in my old seats at Alumni Hall used to holler every time Zendon touched the ball: "It's going up!"
