@AdamZagoria: Steve Lavin is close to signing an agreement w/ Fox Sports as their lead college basketball studio analyst.

Lets all hope his wardrobe will not be provided by Under Armour ;)

He's not bad in that role with the exception of mentioning UCLA over and over.

Help me out here Dr. Fuchsia: would the proper term be pathological?
Mrs. Dr. Fuchsia is the one who knows about pathology. I'm the one who stops listening after the eleventeenth humble brag.

A
I can't wait for his SJU analysis
Yikes

I am interested to hear Lav's comments regarding the lack of depth on the St.John's roster.

I believe he's also responsibile for the additional security at CA. He will go to any length possible to screw us!

I'm willing to wager 10-1 that he wears a tie for Fox.
Wore won for UCLA and ESPN...

Not close to signing. Deal has been signed. Fox will have some kind of an official ceremony/announcement. Date for that has not been established.

correct, Lavin will be back on TV with FOX out of LA studios

3 of Lavin's original recruiting class (ignoring the fact that Sampson did not get there on time) could be playing in the NBA. Possibly 4, if one of Greene or Harrison somehow makes it.

Despite Lavin's tenure here not turning out the way we wanted in the end, that's pretty neat.

Just wish he had a year with Jordan, D'lo, Sampson, Harkless and Chris with Dom as 6th man ( i know pipe dream just would of been nice )

And the ticket price increase to pay for his buyout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously my tickets jumped $65 from $350 for the last 2 years or so to $415 this season. They had been increasing $25 every few seasons but $65 is a major jump for a season with low expectations W-L wise. I think it was fair to raise prices as they were a great deal but $65 is an 18.5% increase. That said I will likely still do it. Anyone know if they will be offering a Garden package this year? I have several people interested for those tickets.

In my case the increase is worth it because Mike Maher comes with the deal. Though it is sometimes January before we see him

Another bad move by SJU when they need to increase fan base. I believe they got themselves excited about the Mullin hype, but have severely miscalculated what that will mean at the turnstiles, especially now that it appears next season will be challenging.

I paid about $600 per ticket last year. Does anyone know what they are going for?

How do you feel about that? That's a pretty huge jump without Mullin suiting up.

I have two of cheaper seats, but was also surprised.
