As mentioned in this thread Pitino know Slazinski's game well. As for Edwards who I think is a very solid player, Soriano played him well last year. This is a very winnable game if we stay focused and execute. I hope it shows that we are continuing to grow as we get ready for the Big East games ahead.

I hope we don't hear this song at the end of our game there in Podunk-ville. I heard their City Hall just installed indoor plumbing and the front row seating carries a full set of teeth (combined). Super hard to solve murders in WV, all the DNA matches and there are no dental records. In WV the populace has more court dates, than second dates. Best pickup line in WV: "you're finer than a Bud truck pulling up to my trailer".

Seriously, historically visiting teams have had a hard time playing there. They have a frenzied atmosphere with a rabid fan base of partly drunk hooligans. If we pass this test it is a good sign for visits to the elites of the BE.

Remember West Virginia gave us Jerry West, Hot Rod Huntley, Rod Thorn and Kevin Pittsnogle. And Bob Huggins, let's beat them for the Catholics and Xavier Musketeers!

Interestingly enough, it seems John Denver’s song is referencing the western part of the state of Virginia where the Shenandoah flows and Blue Ridge reside and not the state of West Virginia. So eff them….😉
 
Classic over analyzing. Let's take care of WVU first. Thats a task in itself. Then you can worry about an NCAA bid and all the hypotheticals.

John Denver said he never stopped foot in WV when he bought that song.
 
The Mountaineers loss to Bellarmine could've either been a blow to their confidence and we pound them or they play extra hard and it goes to the wire.
On paper, we should win by a dozen based on talent alone.

We beat WV at the Garden during CMA era a couple of years ago I think. I was asked by a WV fan to go to the game with him, I couldn't make it. I know he was really bummed, I don't think we were great that season. I had some fun with that win.

Playing in Morgantown is very different. My watching their home games leads me to be very worried about the hostile atmosphere there.

We should bring our band and if we win drown out Country Roads with NEW YORK, NEW YORK!
