Jeremy Woo of SI.com analyzes 14 players on should they stay or should they go, included is Champagnie:

Champagnie’s decision is thought to be a toss-up, as he didn’t leave a strong impression in Chicago and has the option to rejoin what could be an improved St. John’s team alongside standout sophomore guard Posh Alexander. NBA scouts were intrigued by Champagnie’s shooting ability in college, and he came off a strong sophomore season, but he wasn’t overly effective in any other capacity at the combine and isn’t a particularly physical or creative forward. Champagnie certainly has a chance to be drafted in the future and can hitch his wagon to his shooting as a skill, but right now, it could make more sense to return to college and develop there as a featured offensive player.

WISE decision not signing with an agent. No word on his brother's performance. He needed to impress as he did sign with a agent. Stay turned!

Did Justin sign with an approved agent?  Can’t those guys still back out.

Yes, Justin signed with an agent he’s long gone from Pitt

According to "The Athletic", scouts think Justin might be a middle to late second round pick.  We shall see.

But with an approved agent isn't the caveat he can still return to college?  I haven't stayed on top of the Draft rules much since SJU hasn't had a drafted player in a decade or so /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

I could be wrong but I don't think so. You can go through the draft evaluation process without signing with an agent and ultimately decide to return to college. But I believe that, once you have officially signed with an agent, you can't elect to go back to school.

This is what I found on Wikipedia. Not sure how accurate it is.

A player who declares for the draft and stays in it loses his college eligibility when he is drafted. He can sign with any agent following an evaluation from the NBA Undergraduate Advisory Committee, and if he ends up undrafted, he has the opportunity to return to his school for at least another year only after terminating all agreements with that agent, effective with the 2019 draft;[32] until 2018, college players lost their eligibility when they signed with their agents and stayed in the draft, only to be left undrafted

And not uncommon for kids to go through every workout they can before officially doing so, as they should.  Why not take advantage of that opportunity, for growth and feedback alone.  I think that's what Myles Powell did 2 years ago, and others have I can't put my finger on.  My view -- all signs point to JC returning.

As another poster previously state:

'So was Walter Berry until he wasn't.' (different times then but declared minutes before the deadline).  I'll wait for the official announcement from Julian.

Tea leaves seem point to a return, but JC smartly completing his workouts. Julian accepted invite to Minnesota workout 7/8, but of course he could cancel. Hopefully :)

Jonathan Givony, Draft Express;

”People will note that there are several players who are still testing the NBA Draft waters and that this workout is scheduled for after the NCAA withdrawal deadline. I wouldn't read too much into that. Some players (testing or not) will likely withdraw and be replaced by others.”
