Yeah, I think all the mocks I've seen have him in second round. Crazy how much the game has changed.guinness77 post=435410 said:I would assume Garza’s a top-15 pick at the very least so why even risk a possible injury this close to the draft. We definitely aren't finding a 20 ppg guy in the portal in late June.MainMan post=435414 said:There is no backup plan to losing Julian.
He is an SJU unicorn - an underrecruited NYC player who becomes a star. When was the last time that happened?
With respect to LJSAs last post I agree with everything you said but I would like to add that Wusu also becomes a double digit scorer.

If Julian returns we may well land him. Will be an interesting few weeks. We are due to catch a few breaks.
There's a reason Garza stayed in school. ESPN has him going 53. NBA Draft.net keeps a consensus draft using multiple sources and in that he goes undrafted. I found another guy with a more current consensus of the 1st round and Garza doesn't show up. ESPN had 10 guys in the game in their mock, highest was Josh Primo at 35, the only guy in the top 40. Other guys who seem borderline first round in that consensus are Greg Brown and Nah'Shon Hyland.L J S A post=435415 said:Yeah, I think all the mocks I've seen have him in second round. He's doing post season work -- july 7 will be the deadline for all our answersthetux1 post=435420 said:What happened to the guard from Georgia Tech. Does anything ever pan out
Rated #7 out of the G league combine:7. Jose AlvaradoThe 6-foot skilled point guard has kept his options open and could return to Georgia Tech for a fifth season. Alvarado demonstrated his ball-handling and passing prowess in both games while also showing off the ability to knock down jumpers on a consistent basis, particularly from deep off the dribble. He was also outstanding defensively as he “dogged” opposing point guards. He probably helped his draft stock, if he decides to remain in the NBA draft and is potential late-second-round draft choice.G-League Elite Camp stats: 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.0 turnover, and 1.5 blocks. He was 6 of14 from the field (42.6%), 3 of 6 (50%) from the 3-point line, and 1 of 2 (50%) from the charity stripe.P1NSTR1PEZ post=435432 said:He's doing post season work -- july 7 will be the deadline for all our answersthetux1 post=435420 said:What happened to the guard from Georgia Tech. 2nd lowest lane agility time, 2nd lowest non center standing vertical, 2nd lowest non center max vertical. Basically all of the things we have been saying for monthsDuke of Earlington post=435438 said:Answered my own question. Not good numbers on the vertical:
