We don’t deserve Ncaa bid

We are more deserving than Clemson, NC State, Belmont and some other teams on the bubble. We got blown the F-out but loved seeing Marvin and Justin cheering on the bench players, while we were down 30. We just need a break for once. Get the kids in, and hope we get teams with no talented bigs.

Hell no. We will not delete.
We want you to grovel when this team gets to the Final Four.:cheer:
I’ll be more than happy to buy you a ticket to the final 4 gane with me

Ha! As if I needed any more reasons to root.

Maybe we will handcuff ourselves and head in the right direction, to Minneapolis, instead of Norfolk, VA (Honeymooners fans will get this).
The StJohn’s record would look better if it had the first Seton Hall game in the win column.
In my opinion, that was the most damaging losing game on our record, this entire season.

Will this be the first Maher created thread that gets locked??? :)
Haaaaa. I’m actually angrier today than last night. Losing is bad enough but it happens and obviously it’s really hard to beat a team 3 times. But it’s getting our doors blown off in multiple games that drives me nuts. At least I know it wasn’t the Bronx Pale Ales fueling my anger. They probably subdued me. Then Nathalie driving me home she keeps telling me why do you let the losing bother you they’ve been losing for as long as we’ve been together except for a couple of Lavin years. She says “ you should be used to this by now “ :)
A couple of Lavin years? What was different about those Lavin years save for the player suspensions during NCAA week? Outside of player suspensions and the team fighting with each other I feel like we're back to those years and no better.
I love Maher and understand the disappointment from eveyrone after last night, but can the mods take this thread down until Sunday or at least rename it.

The committee has some tough decisions ahead of it and we don’t need to give them an out. We tend to shoot ourselves in the foot a lot as a fan base.
I've seen funny things posted on this site.
This takes the cake however
The committee is NOT looking at fan message boards.
My god

Funnier then being told by the same poster twice that this team is capable of making the same run as the 2011 UCONN team that won the NC?

Read it and weep. We are the second to last team in. If there’s just one or two more bid stealers we are gone.
Guess I shouldn't bother watching the selection show on Sunday. If Bracket Matrix says it, it must be true. Thanks!

Hey Jack.. whatever it is, it is. I do know this team gave us a lot of good moments, a lot of reasons to cheer, and really hope in having a successful campaign.

You, and even guys like Zaun, were not following the program in the dark days of the Norm era. In the heyday of the program I would get my season tickets and sort out the easy non conference wins from the super competitive packed house encounters with Georgetown, UCONN, Syracuse, Villanova, and a host of others. If i missed a St. Francis game, so what back then? It was only a matter of whetehr we would win by 30, 40, 50 points or more.

Then the Norm days arrived. I actually began to look forward to the games against Fordham, Stony Brook, or weaker teams because there was hope we could win those. Big East conference games against ranked opponents? Forget it - there was no chance of winning those. I know it may not align with our conference records then, but i'm guessing the games we were winning in conference were against the weak underbelly of the big East, with a rare win sprinkled in against better competition.

This season we had every reason to believe that every game home and away, was winnable. Ok, we didn't get to where we wanted to go, and I can tell you honestly I had the worst nights sleep in a long time and woke up feeling sick, but this has been a competitive season. Not good enough - not even close. But I'm not going to start blaming anyone as if I deserved better. I do know that no matter where I was, even mobile, I'd be glued to a TV set, looking at Fox or CBS or ESPN on my mobile, and rearranging social plans to see our guys in person.

Successful season, no. Competitive, and worthy of our attention? For me yes, and I'm thankful for that.

Feel your own way about it, lick your wounds, take some Pepto Bismol (which I think I need today). But the only thing that can really change about this season is your perspective. The hard part for me is my head convincing my stomach its not so bad. If Selection Sunday has a silent sting to it, that will hurt too. But life will go on, and I'll be back in my season tix next season. So will you.

As a fan I just can’t settle for being competitive. Making the NCAA Tournament is the goal for this team and every St. John’s team that follows.

If we couldn’t do it with this team we are never going to do it under Mullin. And that’s a shame. But it is what it is. When I came to St. John’s as a student Shamorie Ponds was also a freshman and I thought for sure I’d see us make the dance in my 4 years. Unless we slip in on Sunday, We will go 0/4 in my four years as next year we don’t really stand a chance.

I was a more optimistic and positive poster this season because we were safely in the field for most of January and February. The collapse here at the end has really hurt. I had friends who I haven’t heard from in years texting me, excited for me after we beat Nova. All the talk was about what seed we were gonna get and hoping to stay off the 8-9 line.

Now we probably aren’t going at all. And that’s pathetic. I am a jets, Knicks, Mets and St. John’s fan. Which means as a fan I’m used to taking loss after loss. But this manages to be one of the most heartbreaking teams and seasons I’ve ever experienced.

Hopefully we get called on Sunday.

There are 4 BE Teams playing tonight . During the season we won 4 games against 3 of those teams and if , Mike Stephens wasn’t so terrible on a obvious call , it would have been 5 Victories and a 3 seed instead of 7 and not having to play twice in 18 hours . Also too, no one wants to even consider that 2 of our best players missed 3 League games and that cost us 2 losses . Nor is anyone speculating , on a Board that is totally speculation , that Ponds and Heron might have been playing with
Chronic injuries for much of the 2 Nd half of the season . But , when criticism abounds , everyone wants to be a Critic . And , who amongst us can say that the illness and passing of Rod Mullin with a illness of some duration didn’t limit Chris ‘s Coaching and Recruiting ? He won’t take that path but , I can . Yes , we all wanted better results but , we had some great Victories and some bad losses , for sure . Let’s see what Sunday brings before we put the Balls away .

You are a great fan and a great guy. I'm glad to have met you, and I really appreciate your kindness shown to me.

Let's hope they don't put the balls away just yet, as Looie liked to say. Maybe with a little luck, we dance after all.

I guess all 9 of the other BE teams never had a player miss a game or a season for that matter. Only poor little ole St. John's had a couple of players miss a game or two. We should be so healthy every year. I'd sign up for that.

You know I feel inclined to leave it cause Justin Simon was the only St. John’s player that showed up last night
