Wagner, Wed., Nov. 13, 6:30p, FS-2

I am disappointed that Vince didn’t sniff the court in the second half. Zuby was terrible for the first 10 minutes or so. Hopefully his better play rolls over to Sunday.
I’d have to watch a replay to pinpoint the exact moment, but there was one defensive possession where Vince had a real ill advised lunge at the ball which allowed his man to miss a shot and get his own rebound and score before Vince could get back into position.

Pitino sent Zuby to the scorers table right after it happened, and that was it for Vince.

Interesting that Zuby got to play through mistakes tonight but not Vince

Agreed, except for 6 minutes of the second half , the other 34 minutes of the game were atrocious. No way we are beating New Mexico playing the way we played tonight
Something stupid tell me this team, especially Richmond, will be ready for better competition. It’s early. And, Smith is MoM tonight. I said it earlier, skying for that d-board before Dunlap’s 3 really springboarded this team. He is quick, has handle and can obviously rebound his position very capably.

The defense in general was great tonight. Just work on that rebounding.

Smith is a one-man press. Night and day from what we had last year. We really don’t have a second perimeter defender to pressure outside of maybe RJ with his length. I am so disappointed with Wilcher on defense, but goddamn do I like his offense.

Prey is a better screener, driver, and defensive rebounder than our other 5’s and plays with infinitely better pace.

Agreed with all of the praise of Ruben Prey. His first minute or two was with the first unit and he looked comfortable with them. Would like to see more of him.

Wilcher is such a great teammate; he was jumping up and down when Glover cracked into the scoring column.

Wagner played a tough game; they were tied for first in NEC coaches' poll so wouldn't be a surprise for them to crack into the tourney (although as a very high seed or first four play in game).
