@Villanova, Wed. Feb. 7, 7p, CBS SN/570AM

I thought Saturday was improbable. Holy crap. Beat the number one team on the Road?? For a shit season, I’m beginning to like it. F Duke. F Nova.

Toby Keith, Bradley Cooper, Howie Long, Kerry Kittles, Tim Thomas, Ryan Arachnaphobia... WE ARE ST. JOHN'S!!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW!
INCREDIBLE!!! WELL DONE MEN!!!
Good Night 'Vanillanova'....LINFONTE....KEEP THE TIE ON!!!

Awesome win!!! I’m down in DC on business so didn’t get to watch the game unfortunately. But, wow!! Take down #4 and #1 in consecutive games!! So happy for these guys and the our much maligned staff. We Are St. John’s!!!!!

It's been a long time coming.

It's going to be a long time gone

Always darkest just before the dawn.

They've learned how to win. So proud if our guys and our coaches.

Listening to Mullin after the game and seeing the genuine bond between coach and Ponds, was nice to see.

The team never gave up on one another. That is a credit to the staff.

I know this is a pipe dream, but hey dreams are great to have until reality sets in.

Imagine beating #1 Villanova in Philly, in a 5 day period beating #4 in MSG in front of all those recruits, then going to #1 Villanova and everyone saying it's back to reality for SJU. Then going out there and just some how, some way, pulls it off.

That would be freaking insane, like a storybook ending, then beat Marq, and seeing ourselves at 2-11 in the getting votes section (Is that even possible?)

Then yeah, dream is over and back to reality. Oh well, it was nice to dream.

Holy Craps, my dream became reality. in a 5 day span we beat #4 and #1.
What an unbelievable feeling.

I had to listen to this game on radio... Please for the love of everything holy, someone get this up on YouTube as quick as possible and link it... Holy shit... Unbelievable...

Yes we had some things in our favor tonight, most notably Paschall being out. But, my Lord, our guys played great! What a tribute to the players and staff to hang in amidst the most unbelievable adversity this year!
Shamorie, come back next year and nothing can stop us from NCAA run.

Mullin still has my endorsement. :) Nit is back in play. Need to keep this up.

No go back and read all your posts from the week before the Duke game and you will feel kind of silly. ?

Historic. I cannot imagine that an unranked team with double-digit conference losses and no wins has ever knocked off the # 4 team and # 1 team on the road in the same week. This is un-freaking real. And all with no bench and no Lovett.

Show recruits highlights of the last two games, what a great advertisement for the SJU program.

Unpopular Opinion Coming:

Where as I thought we crushed Dook and was much the better team, I feel we got a little lucky at Nova in all places. I'm not taking anything away from our boys and their Awesome win, I'm just saying we benefited from the following things:

1. Big East style of play. We do better when there aren't acc fouls every two seconds.
2. Paschall out. He's a bruiser. It's nice we didn't have to deal with them.
3. Some of their shots were just a hair off.

Popular Opinion:

This guys don't give up! Ponds is a superstar and an all time St. John's GREAT.

Steve Lappas is a weasel and a terrible announcer.

The biggest win in the Mullin era, and probably this decade, if not longer, and you put that out there?!?!?! Why can't you just enjoy it like the rest of us, instead of trying to bring everyone down???

Don't even want to hear about Paschall. We have had to play without Lovett. Jay Wright's decision not to play these bench kids. Too worried about blowing out teams. Maybe he should have recruited another big man that could play.

Clark 15 points, 6 rebounds and huge foul shots at the end;
Simons 16 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists.

This was against #1 team in the country. Anybody still want to say that they are just "role players" who came to us because they couldn't cut it elsewhere. What nonsense!
