look at their roster. 6 red shirts who are proven players and not one scorer thats a Sr. They will be just as dangerous if not more ( if possible ) next year. I think we are following that blue print somewhat. Red shirts are definitely more mature and seasoned. We will have 6 red shirts on our roster next year if I'm counting correct. As far as tonight goes.....man if we win the city will be buzzing. Come on johnnies!!!!

I dont know if this has been discussed but it appeared to me that rather than have Simon play the point and ponds play off the ball on a wing that on nearly every possession ponds came out and got the ball and everything ran through him. In Hardy's senior year putting him at the point changed the season radically. If that was a key difference, even with a short bench could result in a few more wins.
Ponds starting 25 feet from the basket is nearly unstoppable as he can beat 2 and sometimes 3 guys on the way to the hoop if Given enough room to slice up a defense.

If Paschall doesn't play tonight, and with Booth presumably still out, Nova becomes razor thin. That would put Gillespie as their first sub off the bench and Samuels, a frosh averaging 6 minutes a game as 7th man. For once, we would not be at a disadvantage depth wise; game could get interesting if one of their starters gets in early foul trouble, something that Nova usually manages to avoid.

Shit, Ponds is playing his way into being a draft pick!
We are actually outrebounding Nova 15-13 at half. Brunson had a bad first half, don't expect that to repeat in second half. We have only played 6 so far. Would like to see Yakwe get a few minutes early in second half so Owens is fresh at the end. Ponds has 15 at halftime along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
