I wonder how much closer the game would have been with Sima healthy and available.
I wonder how much more we would have lost by if Ofechku was healthy and available
did this 15 pt loss and clear showing we need help improve our chances w/ Rawle ?
If there is one thing he can be confident of, it's he'll be playing 35 mpg if he comes here. He would instantly become our best player.
Umm no he would not play 35 minutes a game. In case you noticed without Rawle we have two talented players at every position for next season. That is how you build a program. No reason to give Rawle 35 minutes a game and have other talented players transfer and not recruit others as they perceive there is no pt available and be left with nothing. A perfect recipe for disaster.
If he comes I can see him getting 25 minutes a game barring injuries and transfers.
.Yakwe's offensive skill development is still a big concern for me. His FT's looked better but his touch near the basket still seems like light years from being consistent or a concern. If he doesn't improve there we have a defensive specialist an 4 man offense.
Except in rare instances, will be tough for the staff to have him and Sima on court at same time. Both so raw offensively.
This team needs to work heavily on their passing. Terrible.
Good thing Ochefu was hurt.
12,713 in attendance. Pretty good crowd.
I thought a big positive today was how our team managed to make this game ugly enough to keep the Nova crowd sort of quiet.
The second positive was seeing Sima without a cast on his hand

For a center, I would be surprised if Sima is anything less than productive offensively. Think he has plenty of skill and touch there.
Yawke will have to develop some ball skills before he can really be a quality offensive player. Once he can take 2-3 dribbles after opening up and facing the basket, something CJ does fairly well, he will be a foul-drawing machine.
Ellison is not very good
Honestly, the kid has no business being on the court
Fwiw, I thought he played better today than previous games.

Agree that Sima has shown some nice offensive skills. Wish he would have had the entire year to work on his game.

Villanova was ripe to be defeated today. They slept walked in the first half believing they would eventually blow us out.
Hard to believe we get outrebounded by Nova without their center. One time in the second half and the score close Nova got three offensive rebounds leading to a three pointer by Jenkins. Kind of sunk us at the time.

Not hard to believe with our last place team going without its starting center. I thought Nova played hard on the boards and defensive end. Their spotty shooting showed its head again.
I don't think they are top ten material

Agree on Nova & only have confidence Xavier can advance to Final Eight, depending on their draw of course. I like PC with the two stars, but worry about their depth. We'll see, long way to go.
