Villanova, Sun. Jan. 31, Noon, FOX & 970AM

I have to tell you I knew how this year was going to go and I have preached patience and I think I have been patient. With that being said I have to be honest watching Ellison play makes agitated. I look forward to when he subs out.

Have to agree with you. Freshman or not, injured last year or not, the kid is very loose with the ball & has not shown me much to be optimistic about. This is not bashing, just a preliminary feel. Hope my prognosis is way off. Time will tell.

Yeah more aggressive than his talent warrants

Slice didn't exactly blow me away with his time out talk

I would've preferred he phrase it like this: Can we stop with the _______ cross court passes?

May have gotten the point across better

there was too many rookie mistakes even tho 7 are freshman plus some of our players are hurt or not even playing thanks to the ncaa ... think of it as a learning experince for this year and next year will be different pending on the players coming and going

did this 15 pt loss and clear showing we need help improve our chances w/ Rawle ?

Game means nothing to him in my opinion. It is all about PT available & his opinion of staff being able to get him to next level. I suppose a decent crowd at MSG & regal treatment he is receiving this weekend helps a bit, but in the end it is all about who he thinks can maximize his chances for NBA. We'll see. Nice to still be in this though.

I'm usually looking for something to be optimistic about. Like if the kid can't shoot, maybe he has good handle. Or if he's rough around the edges on offense, perhaps he really brings it on defense. But so far there is nothing about his game that impresses me. Can't shoot, can't distribute, unable to rebound. And his defensive abilities are non existent.

Considering who St. John's will be bringing in over the next couple of years, I doubt he has much of a future here.

I thought there was 0 chance of us covering so happy for monte and ccnobz.

Covering is like a win for us lately. :)

If there is one thing he can be confident of, it's he'll be playing 35 mpg if he comes here. He would instantly become our best player.

I wonder if we have any guys transferring out after this year.

too early for that paranoia. That usually starts the day after the season ends

This is a day to be celebrated. We covered the spread

yea its only a matter of time before this program becomes really good again but im not gonna lie i wish UCONN and SYRACAUSE was around

Overall, I am feeling patient. Things will definitely start getting better next year.

I could do without Ellison and Balamou. Those two are maddening.

I don't get the obsession with Ellison. Obviously he is not very good at this point but we were playing the #6 team in the country regardless of who played for them or how they shot. Mussini shot 1-8. Yawke was terrible and it always comes back to Ellison.

By the way Mvouika led the team in rebounding and assists today.
