.Yakwe's offensive skill development is still a big concern for me. His FT's looked better but his touch near the basket still seems like light years from being consistent or a concern. If he doesn't improve there we have a defensive specialist an 4 man offense.

I'd like to see Ellison play more actually. Give him the experience and be ready to go in he future. We aren't winning this year anyway. He is struggling big time now but burying him on the bench won't help anything, he needs reps. The physical skill set is there, I think he can help us down the line.

Yea. Let him get his PT at Iona.

The talent level is what it is.

IMO the kids are playing hard which reflects favorably on their collective character and the coaching staff.

A lot of winless conference teams would be mailing it in at this point of the season; these kids are not.

Yeah, Ellison is likely not a future Big East All Star but given the lack of talent Coach Mullin inherited from the TV Announcer, Ellison was among the best recruits available at that late point in the recruiting cycle.

High point of the game was meeting up again at the game with The Honorable JerseyshoreJohnny

He's a project, if he was going to come here and be an All-Big East player off the bat he wouldn't have been available when he was. He can be a valuable 4-year player, I've never seen a player who wasn't even coming close to costing us games get so much scrutinization.

I agree that he will improve and be serviceable as a Jr., but it is frustrating to see him play out of control so often.

Except in rare instances, will be tough for the staff to have him and Sima on court at same time. Both so raw offensively.

did this 15 pt loss and clear showing we need help improve our chances w/ Rawle ?

Game means nothing to him in my opinion. It is all about PT available & his opinion of staff being able to get him to next level. I suppose a decent crowd at MSG & regal treatment he is receiving this weekend helps a bit, but in the end it is all about who he thinks can maximize his chances for NBA. We'll see. Nice to still be in this though.

Im at CTK now. If he shows I'll continue with the regal treatment.

I wonder how much closer the game would have been with Sima healthy and available.

Rawle is headed to tonight's 7:30 pm Knicks v. Golden State game where he will be told by Golden State personnel that Coach Mullin is best prepared to guide him to an NBA career.

So, this is "the close"....

Sitting courtside w/ Mullin and meeting some GSW players, recapping the program and how Akins will be the show....... I don't think Richmond is eligible but it's all good.

Time to finish strong and keep fingers crossed.

If there is one thing he can be confident of, it's he'll be playing 35 mpg if he comes here. He would instantly become our best player.

Umm no he would not play 35 minutes a game. In case you noticed without Rawle we have two talented players at every position for next season. That is how you build a program. No reason to give Rawle 35 minutes a game and have other talented players transfer and not recruit others as they perceive there is no pt available and be left with nothing. A perfect recipe for disaster.
If he comes I can see him getting 25 minutes a game barring injuries and transfers.
