Balamou is a good example of why you cannot assume freshmen who can't make a jump shot will at some point in their college career be able to do so.

I take this as an indirect jab at Ellison.

To that I say there's hundreds of players, no thousands of players who you can't assume will never be good because of a rough freshmen year

Phil Greene shot 28 percent from 3 as a freshman and 22 percent as a sophomore. You can't tell much of anything about freshmen, except for the good ones.

Ironically enough, PGIV's shooting woes were probably because of his injuries. Something Ellison had just been dealing with.

Probably injuries and also not being able to shoot

If he didn't shoot 40% from 3 as a Jr, 39% from 3 as a sr and wasn't shooting 41% from International 3 in the Turkish BB league you'd have a point.

You didn't really just use the Turkish league to try and prove a point did you?
I once scored 40 points in a CYO game with a running clock which is way more impressive if you ask me

If Donald Emanuel could learn to shoot anyone can.

Phil Greene with his feet set was an ok shooter. Would not call him a good shooter and I def wouldn't call Emmanuel a good shooter.
Was Bootsy a good shooter? More a scorer who could knock down shots

Since I have been a fan I think SJU best (only) shooters have been Mullin, Rowan, Sealy and Harvey. And Sealy was not a good three point shooter.

Give Malik and the rest of the frosh class at least a yr and an offseason with this staff before final judgment...
Player X 3%: Fr: 22% , So: 38%, Jr: 35 %, Sr: 52% - That is the future 2016 POY - Buddy Hield

Larry Wright and Steve Shurina had the nicest looking pregame jumpers.
Shurina did nothing when given time and Wright had the worst coach in history.

Forgive me if this was previously mentioned. Johnson, one of yesterdays announcers, commented about the Johnnies having the best recruiting class next year in the Big East, then immediately claimed it could be the best in the nation. He does like us. I really appreciate his partner as an analyst, Jim Jackson.

I def wouldn't call Emmanuel a good shooter

Emanuel shot 36 percent from 3 as a senior, His FT shooting went from 44 as a freshman to 74 as a senior. He became a decent player, starting from worse than anyone on the roster now.

Dickey Simpkins is the worst color analyst. He's really impressed with his own wonderfullness. :p

To call Walton a color analyst is doing a tremendous disservice to all the color analysts out there, and they are many, and they are by and large awful.

My condolences to the Walton family, I hadn't heard he passed.

Its really close and that's quite a feat in itself

I was at the game. How loud did Johnson get when Mvouika hit that buzzer beating bank shot?

Rawle is there...he posted a pick of him and Curry on instagram and got a pick of him and Klay on snapchat...looks like Rawle is living the superstar NYC life[/quote

I would like comments on how coachable and team oriented Rawle will be if he's already enjoying "superstar" status...wow thus far he's an accomplished high school player...and rubbing elbows with the elite...I know very little about him...is there reason for concern?
Thanks!
