Credit Villanova, they made this ugly. We helped too. I just don’t think we play well at the garden. We shud either play all our games there or none at all. If we are familiar with it, at least it can feel like home.
lolololololololololololMaking plays taking another family trip without his phone
I disagree. WE made it ugly as this was our worst offensive effort of the year against a not very good Nova team. WE beat ourselves in this game.Credit Villanova, they made this ugly. We helped too. Highlight of the night along with meeting Bob BrookjerseyredmenAt least you got to see Eric and Me
A couple things. He definitely waited too long, but at that point would you really rather him compound it by waiting longer to take it and risk us having another shitty possession? I think calling it was the right call regardless of the upcoming media timeout. We needed to make sure we got a good look. BUT of course what we saw out of the timeout was more bull shit. So I guess, does it really even matter when he calls the TO?
We definitely weren’t making plays tonight or any kind
Lol knowing when the media timeout is coming wasn’t my point. Knowing it was coming but deciding it’s still more important to talk things over before the game turns further in novas direction was reasonable. I say that knowing it’s his fault for waiting that long in the first place, and that it was his lack of play call during the timeout that didn’t make us look any better afterwards. He has several assistants that are paid well to make him aware of when a tv time out comes about.

As if it's up to Cragg. Every AD we've had since Jack Kaiser has had to agree to have his balls cut off to get the job except Ed Manetta which is why he quit so fast.Cragg will never get rid of Anderson.
if that is the play on which he was called for 3 seconds, it very well may have been, but ref can’t call that w/o having called it multiple times against Dixon and, in particular, on one of the final possessions of the game. This was unfortunately the turning point of the game.
Hey Mike, how bout call a timeout and save your player who’s stuck in no mans land. We know you’re not gonna use them later to draw up good looks.
Great Post +1000Agree with those who have stated this is a low point.
I will give Mike Cragg credit for one thing, he got people in the door for this game. A great crowd (13,504) that was about 70/30 pro St. John's. But, it was utterly wasted. Not even a single run to spark some frenzy. As usual, Nova fans sat like church mice until they were absolutely sure the game was in hand. This was, yet another, lost opportunity to ignite some momentum for the program. And the worst part is not the loss. The worst part is the way we self-destructed. The turnovers, the air balls, the unrecognizable passes, and just plain old garbage basketball.
And, as I walked out of MSG to chants of "Let's Go Nova", I realized we are once again pathetic.
Lastly, make no mistake, that Nova team has a lot of issues. They did not impress me at all. This game was beyond winnable.
