Vaccine

Yesterday out of the blue I just vomited, which never happens to me.   I think it may have been food poisoning because as soon as I vomited, I felt fine with no other symptoms.   I'm going to take a home covid test in a little bit and until then am isolating.   I'm going to hope it's not Covid and hope it was just Monte's posts that made me sick if not the food.

Hope you are ok beast!!  Good luck!!

Had Covid in Feb. Got vaccine in May + June. Pfizer. Reaction to vaccine was more severe then Covid itself, but only for about 48 hours. Haven't felt well for past week. Did home test 2 days ago which was negative. But both my brother and daughter did home tests in past week which were negative, but follow up tests showed positive results. I just got tested at pop up site on 79th. Results in 24-48 hours. Since I don't have any more symptoms, and since my family decided late last night to postpone our Christmas get together, I'm kinda hoping results are positive so that I can get this out of the way. Especially since I think we're all gonna get it at one point or another. Stay healthy all, and Merry Christmas.

Be well!!  Good luck!!
Thanks Eric. You'll appreciate this. I had a 4 team teaser getting an extra 13 points. Won with Army on Wednesday. Had UCF +20, 49ers +9.5. Both Ws. The other game was North Texas-Miami, Ohio over 41.5 total points. At halftime they were at 34 points. With 10 minutes to go in the 3rd they were at 41 points. That's how the game ended. Neither team scored the rest of the game and I lost a 4 team teaser by 1/2 point. That's why they call it gambling lol

certainly a bad beat. North texas blew a couple opportunities for sure in second half.  Should have been a slam dunk at the half even for the regular over let alone tease it down.   And then miami ohio scored first posession to start second half.  Crazy

Yep. Some missed FGs also. Then, when Miami scored that last TD and went up 12, which I never in a million years thought would be the last score,  I was hoping they'd go for 2 to put  them up by 2 TDs. Just not meant to be.

Thought the same about the 2 points.  Never seems to go in your favor those decisions.

Nope, it wasn't my posts. It was the anticipatory pre-game nausea that we all experience. Look at the bright side, had we played, you probably would have been violently ill all night

1st and goal from 5 in 4th and NT couldn't get in. Last possession of game, Miami decide to take 3 knees inside 5 yard line to end game. Earlier in season, I lost a bet when a team had ball with under a minute left at 50 and game out of reach. Instead of taking 2 knees, the QB hands off to a kid who ran 50 yards for a TD which cost me the bet. It never seems to happen the other way around. Anyhow I took this thread way off topic so; NY top RB was out for the game, which sucked for me. wonder if he was vaccinated?

I do understand hoping it's positive.  I recently got the booster and, while I am not chasing after Covid, it would probably be a good time to get it.  I am figuring it would likely be a mild case and I would then have both the vaccine and virus antibodies.  Just crazy times.

Crazy times is right! I never thought I'd live to see the day where I was actually hoping to test positive for a virus. But since I've been under the weather for the past week anyways, and since I am feeling better, why not have had it be the virus? I know it's kinda warped logic, but it makes sense to me lol

Quick update: My daughter's rapid test just a few minutes ago came back negative. This is so bizarre. A few days ago a home test came back negative. Yesterday a home test came back positive. Today a rapid test at a testing site came back negative. We don't even know what to believe any more

Thanks, Phil.   I am negative, just did a home test.    I'm only doing three fishes for Christmas Eve.   Pre-season I expected seven, but got off to a slow start.    :)

It seems, with Omicron, testing is a bit of a crap shoot.

Thanks JF. Not sure which test she took. As I mentioned, I took the PCR test this morning, so my results will hopefully be accurate.  She's going to take another home test tomorrow morning, as is my son and me(if I don't get the PCR results back before then). If we're all negative, the three of us only will get together at my apartment. So F'in crazy!

It's wild.  Whatever the outcome, I hope you and both kids come through fine.

Really is crazy if this variant can evade these tests.  I suppose act like you have it especially if some symptoms.  Get well to the redmen.com family not feeling well!!!

Gee, there goes my negative test.
Our sons nanny had 10 negative lateral flows before a PCR returned positive. Who knows the exact timing of the lateral flows and if she did them correctly, but it wasn’t detected and she was here at our home for atleast a few days if not a week after she contracted it, Thankfully we didn’t catch it.

We get free lateral flow and PCR tests from the U.K. government which is helping catch positives.

What are your guys opinions of the Binax home rapid ?

Dont know about that one but can speak about the quidel quickview one.  We have used that several times for weddings that asked for tests which all showed negative.  They claim to be 99% accurate for testing positive and and I think 85% accurate when testing negative but I was wondering if it ever was positive on someone until the other day my nephew tested positive along with his pcr test.

I have used the Binax test twice in the last year (both negative results).  I haven't read anything about there accuracy, but it is a quick and easy process.
