A name from the past:
That’s just not something Pitino values from his big men. Gardner will not being taking many jumpers or driving that often his first few years if he’s here. He’ll rebound and defend.Agreed. Harrell did not have anything close to a jumper until his junior year
Yes, they can actually shoot. Are guys like Clayton and Estrada, who both did well in low conferences, really locks to be better than what Posh has been and likely could be with better coaching?
My point is the age old question of whether they can actually shoot (perhaps better than what we have had) because of the level of their competition. Of course, I trust RP and staff....Yes, they can actually shoot.
I take it you weren’t impressed with my Dom Pointer is a poor man’s Michael Jordan comment after seeing him in a HS all star game on TV.I'm trying to think the last time a poster got a potential recruit and another player comparison correct and I think out of 4000 potential recruits the last 20 years maybe there have been 20 comparisons close ( and I throw myself into that list of posters. ) Marillac might have the lead at like 6 the rest of us are enron
I do like the term 'locked in', lol. From Zach, Re Walter Clayton Jr's visit:
The official visit with Iona transfer Walter Clayton Jr. is locked in to start Friday, he tells me.
Well that wasn't the start to today I wanted. LolMSN

Paultz says the kid plays no defense. Sign him and don’t retain Storr. HmmWell that wasn't the start to today I wanted. Lol
Predictions from those with way more knowledge than me....
Who is the first person in the fold?
I'll take a 1000% random guess and go with Estrada
I don’t see Estrada as a good fit.Well that wasn't the start to today I wanted. Lol

Antoine Walker, Pope, Pelphrey and Mashburn among others are confused by this claim. That’s just not something Pitino values from his big men. Gardner will not being taking many jumpers or driving that often his first few years if he’s here. He’ll rebound and defend.
With all due respect to Paultzman if he did say that about Estrada, but I attended a dozen Hofstra games this year at the Mack and his defense was fine. He has a very quick release and was Hofstra's best offensive player by far. Speedy Claxton is a terrific coach and doesn't tolerate defensive slackers. He's in the portal because he is no longer eligible to play at Hofstra.Paultz says the kid plays no defense. Sign him and don’t retain Storr. Hmm

However gets him will get an excellent offensive player.
I do believe that by next week we will start seeing some pieces falling into place from the open market.
