I think that Pitino recognized his talent but probably thought that he was not a big enough body to fit his program. IMHO

Actually, I think he has good size and is built very well…not sure if there was anything behind the scenes that gave Pitino pause or maybe Storr just wanted a better NIL deal as The Maven recently suggested on Twitter.

He was very frustrating to watch this season - he is clearly very talented and, when he does what he does best, can be a very effective player. But, he goes out of his lane too often and, as a result, often plays out of control.

I wish him luck at his next stop and hope that he has learned from his experience at St John's

Too bad. Talented kid, but fixated on hero ball. Surprised it took so long for this decision, but probably knotty transfer calculations.

Wish David Jones luck. Seemed like a good kid, very talented but game needs a lot of reining in. Hope he finds a coach that can bring out the best in him, provided it is not in the Big East.

You feel bad for many of these mid majors especially the one's who enjoy success. Because now kids who may not have been heavily recruited out of HS and have to settle for playing at Hofstra get a few years to excel and then high majors just get to pluck them from the Hofstra's of the world thru the portal. And conversely it is hard to ask Estrada to stay at Hofstra when assuming he decides to transfer he has a legit chance to play for a team and conference that has a better chance to play in the NCAAT then a 1 bid league like the CAA.

Not to mention get a much better NIL deal

Now that I have shown I can play in the ACC, now the schools in the south from the rest of the ACC and the SEC won't ignore me and provide me with an opportunity to play for them.
