And, while this board whined and complained about the hire, Seton Hall enjoyed the tournament births......most of which came after Whitehead left. Willard is a good coach.....just face it.

No one said Willard wasn't a good coach, but if you remember SHU was the bottom tier of the big east and the South Orange natives were getting restless with their fearless leader. The Tiny Morton hire that brought Whitehead and in retrospect more importantly Delgado, which bought Willard more time, they then became a perennial 20 game winner / top half of the big east team. I may be wrong, but I think they peaked in the Covid year, what ever Powell's last year with Sandro was. Sometimes you give things time and it works out well, other times you fire your coach and bring in a former star player with no coaching experience. Everyone has different strategies.
