Because just like life in general, there are people who will build you up and then enjoy tearing you down. And then you have others who just do the latter.

Common courtesy and decency is not lost just on younger generations but on older ones (who should know better) as well.

We have a whole thread dedicated to thanking him... certainly seems like more people wanted him to stay than leave...

If everyone was on the same page... this board would be a bit boring imo...

If i were to gauge it- would put it at 85/15 Pro-Posh

It’s just the same handful of posters spewing hate on Posh. Trolls that just can’t help themselves. The majority of respectable posters are wishing the best for Posh.

Posters stating that Posh, who gave his heart and soul to this program for the past three years, should be happy coming off the bench and playing 15-20 minutes a game is definitely not an endorsement that would make him want to be here. Reread some of the posts.

Seems to me that mostly isn’t anti Posh but more of blind allegiance to Pitino at this point. People upset by or questioning any of defections or joking that we are going to have to play a 1-1 zone defense are being viewed as anti Pitino or something.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Posh has already heard from coaches like Holloway and Cooley and not in the context of playing 15-20 minutes a game. Anyway, I’ll be rooting for him except when he plays against us.

Noticing a lot new members on the board. That might have something to do with the negativity. But in general most ppl in this board are pro posh.

I'm not saying that those posts didn't occur (or are correct in any fashion) - just that I think the overwhelming majority of SJU fans are Pro-Posh.

People are entitled to their opinion - doesn't make them right. It's just when you said "The Board is dysfunctional..." - grouped all of us in with those (in my opinion wrong) posters who have a negative view of Posh.

I personally hope that all of the transfers out flourish at their new schools, even if within the BE. Once a Johnny, always a Johnny, however, once the decision has been made (or made for them) then for me, it is time to welcome our new players and root for them and move on from the past, especially when for the first time in 25 years the future looks like it can be amazing.
