I believe it. The transfer NIL this year from bits and pieces I’ve heard is insane and not even close to that website that reports values or whatever

I don’t doubt there’s guys getting 7 figures. Ware just seemed surprising considering he was probably novas third best transfer.
 
Rutgers has squeaked into Tournament twice under Pikiell which makes him a god. Northwestern blew big leads against Rutgers both of those years and they wouldn’t have gotten in either year if Northwestern won.
 
If you guys remember LJSA was tossing around some Timberlake numbers and that was the beginning of the process and no doubt he was very close to the final number

So this whole thing has me fascinated. 1 come out early create bidding war and lock in. 2 you try too hard to create bidding war and more kids at your position hit the portal or worse they commit to the schools that were bidding for you. 3. Come out later when less kids at your level or position are still left and back to bidding war

I find this whole thing completely fascinating

And it's brand new so there isn't years and years of similar situations to reference so everybody is mostly just winging it

Totally agree. Eventually a market will be kinda set but that’s few years away and honestly when you look at baseball free agency there still isn’t a market set all you need is 1 bad deal. I’m just thankful we have the right coach and firepower right now

Hobbs was a good head coach at GW and obviously a former UConn assistant. Can’t remember what he did at GW to get fired. Think some of his kids may have bad academic issues.
