Agree. I don't see any semblance of build, athleticism, and game that reminds of me Tyrone Grant. Zilch. This is the second reference I've seen to Zuby being similar to Ty Grant. I don't see it. Grant was a big body in the lane but probably only about 6'7" and certainly not chiseled and athletic like Zuby. I loved Grant as a player because he had this inexplicable ability to find a way to rebound and score the ball in the lane even without elite athleticism or size for his position. He just knew where to be and what to do with the ball when he got it in his hands. From what I've read of Tyrone's life after SJU It seems he's also a terrific person so that's nice too. Anyway if we're gonna find someone to compare to Zuby's game or physical attributes, for me we need to keep looking. I will also be very happy to watch Zuby and our entire roster of new faces play!
Tyrone was one of my favorite players. He was a “lunch box” guy. Hard worker. He was not gifted athletically per se but worked his ass off. He was strong and finished around the rim. Tough kid. Never forget him. He battled against some guys who were bigger and more talented and held his own.Agree. I don't see any semblance of build, athleticism, and game that reminds of me Tyrone Grant. Zilch.

Gardner and his family moved to Queens because the prior SJ staff thought they had an agreement. The new coach did his due diligence and met and reassued the family that his NIL would be honored. Within 24 hours they tried to renegotiate their deal.I doubt that very much
Gardner is just not a fit for Pitino, but he was a highly ranked kid that was already signed and we had a lot of room on the roster…so there was no need to push him away either. Until his mother started to push their luck. Pitino had an awful experience with an over-involved parent his first year at Lousiville and I don’t think that is a mistake you have to make twice.
The Gardner unskilled combo forward archetype is likely a thing of the past for us with Pitino here. It’s just so much easier to beef up a legitimately skilled bigger wing like Luis if you want someone that can play as a stretch four.
I’m a Fairfield alum. Loved my time there. Wish the team there was good when I was in school. New arena on campus is gorgeous.Good for him! Have a couple of family members who went to Fairfield and loved it there.
Well a couple of years ago it was pointed out that North Carolina had given credit for non existent classes. How can Love be eligible at UNC, but not be able to get past the Michigan admissions office?
UNC and UM are ranked about equal so it must be transcript or GPA issues I would imagine.Well a couple of years ago it was pointed out that North Carolina had given credit for non existent classes.

Michigan is known as a pretty good school. Of course when it comes to academics and athletics they must have “some” standards. I guess.
UNC is known as a pretty good school too. And at the very least, UNC presumably shored up their cheating since then.Well a couple of years ago it was pointed out that North Carolina had given credit for non existent classes.

Yes it’s known as a very good school. Of course, they clearly got caught. No show credit is as bad as it gets. That’s pretty lazy cheating. Who knows if that has been shored up. They were never punished. They weren’t punished because, wait for it…no show classes broke no rules. Gotta love the N.C.A.A.UNC is known as a pretty good school too. And at the very least, UNC presumably shored up their cheating since then.
Hope he goes there. I haven't taken a deep look at college rankings lately, but I'll assume it's still a good school.Good for him! Have a couple of family members who went to Fairfield and loved it there.
How does Michigan allow it to get that far to begin with? I mean he has been committed for more than a month and you have presumably had his transcripts for that long how in the world do you NOW decide you are not going to admit him?UNC is known as a pretty good school too. And at the very least, UNC presumably shored up their cheating since then.
