Former Hayes kid we looked at
I think this is the thing the NCAA and the Big 5 schools can easily agree on. Create a system where a commitment out of high school is a two year commitment only pending if there is a head coaching change (but this would count towards the free transfer); one free transfer no exceptions; medical redshirts allowed; fifth year eligibility allowed if graduate within four years. One way NCAA could attempt to slow down expanding player payroll is to enforce their own rules (one transfer) and stop allowing every player to become a free agent annually.

I like your idea DK, but the even darker side of this NIL-$$$ insanity is that the Power Schools breakaway and create their own Pay-for-$$$$$$'s-Play universe, turn these players into professionals that wear the schools' jerseys, but don't even attend classes, and the NCA's 'March Madness' turns into a Junior Prom for all other colleges.I think this is the thing the NCAA and the Big 5 schools can easily agree on. Should just do away with the transfer waiver and tell them to use their one free transfer wisely or else what’s the point.![]()
Transfer again and play right away? NCAA says no, but coaches are wary of enforcement
If the NCAA doesn’t take a firm stance on transfer rules, "they may as well just close the doors in Indy."theathletic.com
They won't do anything the next 10 years until the March Madness TV contract is up -- which I think the consensus is that it was way too long of a contract and not nearly enough money.I like your idea DK, but the even darker side of this NIL-$$$ insanity is that the Power Schools breakaway and create their own Pay-for-$$$$$$'s-Play universe, turn these players into professionals that wear the schools' jerseys, but don't even attend classes, and the NCA's 'March Madness' turns into a Junior Prom for all other colleges.
Hope 'something; stops them, but what can?
Out of morbid curiosity, does anyone know what the 'average big east' starter makes through NIL collectives? I get the feeling in lower than Twittermania would lead us to believe, but I have earthly idea.I like your idea DK, but the even darker side of this NIL-$$$ insanity is that the Power Schools breakaway and create their own Pay-for-$$$$$$'s-Play universe, turn these players into professionals that wear the schools' jerseys, but don't even attend classes, and the NCA's 'March Madness' turns into a Junior Prom for all other colleges.

This is why I don't give a crap about losing players anymore.I'm getting dizzy with all these added names and few commitments, lol.
And by no means am I picking on our great HC, but this process has become CUCKOO NEST--$$$'s insane.
'Whoever' this guy is, he probably wants CUCKOO-$$'s for his 'services'.
I wish people would stop saying it’s all about the money. USC has money, maybe the young man, for his own personal reasons, wants a different environment. None of us really know.I guess it's all about money these days. Can't figure out why else a guy with those numbers as a freshman would leave.
Thanks for putting us back on track, BB.Hunter Sallis to Wake Forest.
I get your view Panther and want to agree, but how about we say it's mostly about $$$'s for many of these players--whom I do not blame for seizing an opportunity to make big $$$'s for their skills at this time in their careers.I wish people would stop saying it’s all about the money. Think we saw this coming but nonetheless
I think the frustration that I am beginning to feel is that relatively speaking at least for next season it clearly seems that mostly all we have to offer is Pitino and if anything it feels Iike I could understand a kid taking a little less money to go to a beautiful campus so it seems for a while we have to be at the top of the NIL market for more players then we would have hoped.I get your view Panther and want to agree, but how about we say it's mostly about $$$'s for many of these players--whom I do not blame for seizing an opportunity to make big $$$'s for their skills at this time in their careers.
Most of us have used leverage to enhance in our careers to enhance their compensation.
Employers do--why can't employees?
