Transfer Portal Mania

my thought that i didn't wanna type... I don't wanna think im Boujee enough to hold my nose up at a career 8/5 guy from Ohio St... but I guessss... if he's our... 8th guy in the rotation?... we could be in worse spots...

Who am i kidding... by September I'll convince myself he'll be 2nd team All-BE and a lynchpin of a future Final 4 team...
He had a stretch before getting injured last year where he was putting up nice numbers. Plus he's not a pain in the ass at all.

Right... he can certainly play and produce...

If we keep Everyone we Can* keep... not sure i Love the addition... If we only have 2 returning guys... Welcome aboard Zed! lol

I have zero inside information. But he's going to be 23 years old next year, shorter than Jalen Brunson, and appearing in exactly zero mock drafts in March.

Why not spend one extra year at home in MSG with an all-time great coach, and probably make a couple million?

You're not asking a stupid question.
I think this is the kind of recruit Repole pays for when we are knocking on the final four door.
We aren’t there yet. Maybe 2 years,

But to be fair if he’s a potential piece of a puzzle a much bigger piece where he might not even be your 3rd option scoring but he fills a piece just Rick looks for in a 5 and you have a good chance of getting the other pieces you pay up
This team will need strong big men challenging Clingan and Fielder to where they will require a long time in the ice tub after the game.

So you mean he's similar to guys like Gorgui Dieng, Terrence Jennings, and Mangok Mathiang that were at the back of Pitino's Louisville defenses that ranked top 5 nationally? I think I'd break the bank for a guy like that
NO......you said he similar to those players......who had complimentary talent on those nationally ranked Louisville teams.
Rutgers was nowhere near in comparison to those Louisville teams and Cliff was not a difference maker in one single game this season. In fact, he faded entirely by mid February. His stats are embellished by 5 or 6 stellar double double games against inferior opponents.
That's why I never would pay Dickinson level money to such a player.
Cliff is a tremendous athletic center whose main strength is rebounding....period.
He is no Chris Obekpa when it comes to blocked shots but has enough anticipation instincts to block a few. He's an horrendous foul shooter.
That said, I would not turn him down as long as his NIL is not disproportionate with his talent level.
