Transfer Portal Mania

Is it the opinion of those posting that DaRon Holmes is either unattainable or not a good fit for the Johnnies next year. According to ESPN, he is 6'10"/235 and his 23/24 stats are 20.2 points/game, 8.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 55.1 FG%, 38.7 3 PT% and 70.0% FT%.

To compare, Clifford Omoruyi is 6'11'/240, and his 23/24 stats are 10.7 points/game, 8.5 rebounds, .5 assists, 52.2FG%, 20.0% 3PT% and 61.5 FT%.

I'm curious as to what this Board thinks about these two players.
Obviously would have to take Holmes if he’s available and willing to come here. In my uneducated opinion he’s an nba player and should be a first round pick.

DaRon Holmes would definitely be a fit and IMHO is not unattainable as we will have NIL funds that would have gone to either Jackson (Ian) or Edgecomb and that bank vault has grown since then.

Holmes would be nuts to not do NBA workouts. He's a borderline first round pick, in a notoriously bad draft.

It's an interesting risk for St. John's. Even if he commits to us, if he gets a first round guarantee, why would he come to college? And if he stays in the draft, will we have time to make a pivot on a similar guy?

Also FYI -- Trilly says he received an email list of 200 players portaling and is going to do a slow drip on his discord. He had the people (e.g. Meyer) who were public today. I think the average age of the group is 19 years old, so I feel like old man. lol

I don't want to break their rules and leak names consistently, but if there's very clear STJ linkage... ;)

Nice conundrum to have. He will (is) not the only big being targeted.
