Clemens to Yankees. How would everyone feel about weakening a chief rival while also bringing in a local kid who's put up very nice numbers, but it's someone a lot of us have probably hated past three years?

And as a follow up to your question, are there even any standards anymore that kids need to maintain to be eligible to play or do the individual tutors determine their grades? Anyway you look at it, college athletics are destroyed. At this point, what’s to stop a current pro from coming back to college to get a good NIL deal if he still has eligibility? What a $hitshow.Interesting, thanks.
Aside from 1st or 2nd round talent, what % of kids on rosters actually care about completing a college degree?
Assume most don't care about fit of school or coach either. Just $...
Sad.
Exactly and that’s why I don’t get the loyalty of the “Poshettes” on this site. Posh left for a better NIL deal, he put that ahead of loyalty for his school. Do I blame him for that, no, but I wasn’t ready to give him a parade on his return either. I look at him as a PROFESSIONAL athlete that went with what was in his best financial interests. All this other stuff about Pitino not showing him love is just nonsense.I get the sense that in many cases, the "student" part of "student athlete" is complete BS.
That is why NBA Commissioner is considering elimination of G League per reports.Hey just a thought, instead of looking at the transfer portal, why not check out the G League for players who still have college eligibility left? I’m sure a decent NIL deal is far better than what G Leaguers get paid.
Fremantle? Does he have more eligibility? How would everyone feel about weakening a chief rival while also bringing in a local kid who's put up very nice numbers, but it's someone a lot of us have probably hated past three years?
