Cooley is actively recruiting multiple Uconn kids who are in the portal.
 
Have to wonder if we land this kid, if that will force someone currently on our team to enter the portal. Because obviously this would mean alot less minutes to go around.

I know someone wondered the other day whether Mathis changes his mind. That's who I'm thinking. Then again, I thought he was the most likely guy to enter the portal a month ago.

I said earlier that I would think Mathis might rethink his decision to stay. Seems that Jones would be sure to take some of Mathis’s PT.

Land the kid first, then worry about someone leaving.

He would need a waiver to play next year as a second time transfer.

I personally hope Mathis stays as I think he could have a role on this team as a defensive stopper and an athletic guy who can finish in transition (he struggled in that aspect last year). He also has the benefit of a year of familiarity with CMA’s system.

Floyd yes. not hard, though. filler if so. His dad played there w Eric Murdock. When BE was loaded in 91. Akok…nothing i have heard. PC grad w connections, 91, but, grew up LI SJU fan and still hardcore here. could be wrong but in this case not likely. but If so….

Got it. Thought I read here or another board he was up at Storrs recruiting Akok once he entered the portal.
 
If people are uncomfortable with having a player transfer within conference, just wait until you find out what really happens behind the scenes in college athletics, you might need to take a good seat for that.
