THIS Season (formerly Next Season)

Do these lousy start times tie into the lousy ratings? The league needs to step it up this year.

915 start times like last year versus NOVA is not good for attendance in this league hence 6:30 and 830 is a bit more bearable.

6:30 msg games cuts into my valuable pre game activities. But then again as I get older it means I will get more sleep after the game

There's only about 4 or 5 of those doubleheaders.

I wonder if they're trying to get the jump on ESPN with those start times, too. Somebody flipping through the channels before the ESPN game starts, sees a live game on fs1, and sticks with it, forgetting where he was supposed to go to in the first place.

Don't get me wrong, FS1 won't beat ESPN, but I wonder if they know this will trim the deficit a bit.

NY crowds are notoriously late coming. We are in NY where traffic is all over the place and parking etc. Starting a game at 630 will make the house look even emptier.

I have attended games at CA since it opened and have always wondered why the majority of fans in the lowest level always arrive twenty minutes late (clock time) for the game no matter what time the game starts or what day of the week it is being played.
Since they have attended many games and all park within a block or two I figure it must be done on purpose. Why?
The arena has the atmosphere of a Garden City HS game for the first twenty minutes.

Frankly,I do not care when others arrive

Recruits might if the place is as lively as a morgue.

I care a lot when I see the Syracuse crowd in our seats before the tip

My guess is now that the Sly Fox is closed people get there on time :)

QUEENS, N.Y. – Times and broadcast information have been finalized for the men’s basketball team’s Red White Scrimmage and exhibition contests as ESPN3 will carry all three events through its partnership with SJU-TV

St. John’s will then host St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday, Nov. 4 for a 7 p.m. on-campus exhibition game. The Red Storm defeated the Spartans, 97-71, in exhibition action last season. The Red Storm concludes the exhibition portion of its schedule on Saturday, Nov. 7 as Sonoma State comes to Queens for a 4 p.m. tipoff. Tickets to both exhibition games are included in full season ticket packages.

We're #110!. At least, according to CBS Sports. That's actually better then I thought, and they rank us ahead of Depaul, Seton Hall, and Creighton.

110. St. John's: Chris Mullin -- the long-desired choice of so many powerful St. John's boosters -- is now running the show in Queens. This will be fascinating. We don't think St. John's is going to be viable this season, but it's still certainly one of the 150 best teams in the country.

How can someone rank us when we don't know if Marcus Lovett is eligible? That could be worth a lot of spots in the RPI.
