The NCAA Tournament Thread

As much as I hate to say this UConn deserves the win tonight. Got to root for the big east . Again it pains me to say that but as coach Rick said UConn is a machine

UConn better off doubling every Edey touch and making the other guys beat them. Likely to start doubling him even when Clingan is back

Damn, Clingan is no match for Edey at all. I don't know what you do other than double him and make Purdue shoot against taller guards

Edey is playing great but he is getting tired. That is part of UCONN's plan just keep throwing bodies at him.

Raftery said it. Newton went right at him and Edey never challenged him. Earlier in the game he was blocking everything.

But right then he did not not even make an attempt.

Some of those were tough hooks. Not many centers even force him to have to use his counter move over his right shoulder. He’s done it successfully 3 times tonight so far. Damn he is tough!

Danny is in rare form tonight.

He is not arguing like a complete lunatic but he is literally in the ear of the officials on every call/non call.

Weird, UConn is up five and I just get the sensation that they are about to make this game a laugher. That's how dominate UConn has been these last 2 years.

If you were drafting players for tonight’s NCAA tourney game, when would the second Purdue player get taken? 5th? 6th? 7th?!

Ali wearing Frazier down. The last 10 minutes of the game could be a bloodbath to 20 point victory

Our former sprcial assistant Gene Keady, long time Purdue coach at game with a P emblazoned on the bald spot in back of his head.

Rock solid good man Keady is. I chatted with Keady at the Lapchick statue fundraiser that was a star-studded affair with NBA all-time greats. I was a fly on the wall when Keady introduced himself to Walt Frazier, then in his mid 70s himself and told Clyde, "I knew your college coach really well. Great man."

I'd root for Pudue anyway but for Keady, who helped restore SJU bball, I'm all in for Purdue.
