The NCAA Tournament Thread

Prediction on order of games thinking Purdue vs N C ST is second game in prime time because it should be the more competitive game.

How times have changed. If my grandmother had seen a picture of me at that age giving someone the finger, I would not have been able to sit down for a month, smh.
Totally agree and it’s not limited
to kids. Yesterday I drove my car to our development center where there is walking trail we like to use. The road back and forth is windy with lots of blind spots. Driving back there was a young thirty something woman jogging in the middle of the road completely blocking cars. I drove very slowly behind her thinking she would move over to the grass but no such luck. Eventually I gave her a slight beep while passing her with the hope no one was coming the other way. Looking back in my rear view mirror she was giving me the finger! People are beyond lacking manners and she’s someone's parent so not hard to see where they get it from.

Gee, all you have to do is read some of the posts here, about F this team, or this player, or these fans, or this coach, etc., etc. Just the world we live in now.
I may have commented on this book before, but at the end of No Country For Old Men by Cormac McCarthy, the Texas Ranger, played by Tommy Lee Jones in the movie, goes into a stream of consciousness sequence wondering how the world got so crazy as to create a man as unfeeling and unemotionally evil as Anton Chigurh. He rewinds his thinking back and back and winds up at the conclusion that it all began when kids weren’t made to address adults as Ma’am and Sir anymore, the beginning of the loss of basic decency towards and common respect for, others, if you will. One of the most brilliantly simple explanations for the evolution into the craziness we all see every day now.
One last comment on Mr. McCarthy, I love quotations and here is one of the best:
”It takes very little to govern good people. Very little. And bad people can’t be governed at all.“

NC State‘s Run us what I fantasized our guys doing if the had made the tourney. Oh well, have to settle rooting for my friend’s son Michael O’Connell. Class kid, class family. Team on am amazing run.
The major difference being, they jelled late like us but parlayed into an automatic bid, we fell short. Could we have made noise in the tournament, sure we could have. A one and done tournament is all about matchups, getting hot, and handling the completely different pressure of lose and you‘re done. That’s why comparing those results to the regular season is silly, it is an absolutely completely different animal.
