The Dark Knight Returns

Of course there are reasons to be skeptical as these are the Mets. In baseball anything can happen but I like the vibe of this team. The back end of the rotation has some question marks but we also have three potential upgrades at mid season with Montero, Syndegaard and Matz. Montero could also slide back to solidify our relieving. Things don't look great right now with Parnell and Black but if either could come back that would boost our relieving. Campbell has been ok for Wright and Plawecki looked good yesterday. Granderson had his first good game of the season and could give us a lift. Murphy unless he has an injury will start to hit. I like the fact that we are overcoming injuries and different guys are stepping up. When Flores is hitting home runs and Tejada three run doubles, someone is looking out for us.

If Harvey and DeGrom turn out to be money in the bank providing quality starts in the high 20s, if one or more of the other starters can step it up, it could be a fun year. Certainly more hope than we've had since 2007 or 08.

Wright hurt, Murphy and Granderson hitting under 200 and Duda has 1 homer. Pitching can't pitch this way forever, but when that comes back to Earth hitters start to pick it up. Having a lot of fun watching this.

Rangers up 3-1.

Mullin ready to topple Calipari (alright, a bit ahead of myself on this one)

Mets win ten in a row despite injuries and an offense that would be pure crap without a guy name Wilmer.

This is just fun right now in so many ways.

Might have to believe this year!

For my brother and Godson's birthday, I've promised to take them to a game in May or June. I told them we'd watch the rotation and try to go when Harvey or DeGrom is pitching. Right now though, it hardly matters.

My man Duda hasn't been bad either. I admit I have been wrong about the bullpen. I still that as the weakest link but will enjoy it while I can!

I just bought tickets for Saturday against the Yanks.. Harvey vs CC. Going to be AWESOME!

Going with Duda over Ike.... Alderson's best move so far as GM?

It is top 3 for certain. Funny thing was when the Mets committed to Duda, and traded Ike, majority of the fans and media were convinced it was the wrong decision.

As the team is built, he is the one bat they can't live without. He is now hitting lefties. Nice to see the Mets make the right move like that.

I love Duda but I def thought Ike was the pick for first.. good thing I am not the GM. This was best move as of right now but I think in the future, the Dickey trade will be best. We know about TD and Thor but Becerra is starting his first full season down in Savannah and very excited to see what he can do.

How about the Dickey trade? Or getting value for Beltran? Stockpiling all these arms and young talent has been fantastic, and given the Wilpon's tightness with a buck, the only reasonable path for success.

1968-69 Jets - Superbowl Champs
1969 Mets - WS champs
1969-70 Knicks - NBA Champs

Tough act to follow, but I'm with you.

Another win and at the braves expense. Doesn't get much better than that.

And the yankees playing well so juice going into the series with Degrom and the Dark Night up next

Damn being a met fan is fun again

As a Yankees fan, I'm not confidant facing either guy, but I have a little more confidence that we can hit Harvey, then we can DeGrom, to be honest.

Harvey is going to challenge guys, and basically throw fastballs and sliders all game. Now, those are overpowering pitches, so he can still be great, but we tend to do better against pitchers like that, then someone like DeGrom who has a full bag of tricks. We also may pitch count him (Harvey) out of there. Even though your bullpen has been great, I'll take my chances.

Watch me look like an idiot after saying this.

10-0 at home. Maybe the Mets can use a new marketing pitch, "Buy tickets to a game, and we guarantee you a win." :cheer:

This has been fun, and they have had to deal with injuries.

the thing I love most about the pitching is the accuracy. not giving up anything and no free trips to first
