Red I was just going to ask the same...I feel like it won't be this summer though. It's a big transition that will take a while.
It will have to be this summer. We won't be able to wear Nike once we are not affiliated with them.

So then doesn't that mean UA will be here June 20 something or whenever the exact date is Nike's contract ends? There is probably a delay though between when the team gets UA issued gear and when it goes for sale in Marillac.
I'm just talking jerseys for the team to play in. Don't know how long the gear will take but I imagine there is all ready some ready. Both the school and UA have known about this longer than us.
It appears that some gear has already been supplied to the staff. In the article on redstormsports.com about Lavin attending the "Hoops & Heroes" 3-on-3 tournament over Memorial Day weekend, he is wearing a STJ golf shirt that appears to have the UA logo on it. If the staff has some gear the team probably does also, or at least I would imagine they will soon.

Hopefully some players are excited about the rebranding and post pictures all over twitter! I'm so curious to see how they choose to design our jerseys. I think it will show where we stand i.e. are we just another team they brand, or are we among the torch carriers with Maryland? Usually you can tell if you are important to a brand when they go all out with the creativity on the design i.e. Nike and Oregon who seems to get 5 new jerseys every year, Cuse/Nova with Nike, G'Town with Air Jordan, Maryland with UA, Adidas with Michigan, etc.
Do you think there's any possibility they will finalize say 5 jersey concepts and allow fans to be part of a vote like for the mascot, or do you think it will be all UA and SJ big wigs? I'm guessing the ladder.

6- year deal with SJU.
These may look crazy to some on here but the kids love getting new kicks. Sometimes the louder the better.

It is different from the old ones...the side panels are new. It looks like these will be it. More times than not when jerseys are leaked they turn out to be the real thing. I'd like to see a bigger picture because I didn't see it on their twitter page. Also curious what the shorts look like.

There is more to it Joe. This is pretty much the same uniform with black removed and some piping on the sides that is there. Jerseys are needed for the summer tour. These are simple with minor tweaks. The bigger overhaul, name and everything will happen closer to the season.
From what people have said the school and athletic department hired a consultant to make proposals on new branding. I'm sure part of that was slogans and how to market the school as a whole. But a big part had to be the logo and typeface of the athletic department. And my thinking is you don't do that unless you're going to take their advice and go with one of the designs they come up with. Just my 2 cents

Right, but at the same time we don't know that SJ didn't tell them "keep it simple, nothing drastic". That jersey keeps much of the same with some minor tweaks, and UA has done that with other schools as well. I hope they go all out though, they might as well try a fresh idea to get people excited.
