Can say the same thing about USC and will a Lincoln Reilly team ever be able to play defense?
You would think with the time stopped between Ohio States next to last play and their final play, someone on ND, either on the field or sideline, would have realized they were playing a man short.
Everyone hates Kiflin, yet you don’t hear about it and no one goes after him like they do Sanders even though Kiflin coaches in the SEC. Panther is correct some feel he hasn’t paid his dues but there is a difference to deny that some have a problem because he is black and outspoken is just not seeing the entire picture.
No I don’t see Pitino not having four on the floor, not making boneheaded decisions for an entire game nor act like a jerk with his post game comments.
And I admit most of this is off topic, but this thread was a farce from the start.

I don't hate Kiffen. He's thoroughly disliked by many, but I kind of like the guy. I think he has an edge to him many don't.
Riley and USC will have their hands full in PAC 12 play. That D will be tested with ND, Utah, Washington, Oregon, and UCLA on their schedule. However, they will pound Colorado mercilessly.
As a DIE-HARD Cane (FB), I don't like Prime, never have. He's very flamboyant, always has been.
Detaching myself from my fandom, I'm indifferent about him.
I think some don't like him because he's black, some don't because he's arrogant, unproven, etc.
The media has way more to do with me disliking the BUFFS than anything else. They are going to continue to eat this fiasco up, and DEION LOVES IT. He loves the attention.
Truth is every true fan of CFB knew the preseason hype was unwarranted.

I don't blame Deion at all for any of the blowback that will inevitably occur. He has created his brand and it is brash, outspoken and in your face. It will attract players and it seems he has a staff to coach them up. But the blame for this falls on the media. They love the eyes and the clicks a character like Deion represents and so they build him up so much only to bring him down so low. If they were rational and honest about what's he's doing, all well within the new rules of the system, it wouldn't be such a big story. That might cost ad $$$.

That was probably their most winnable game until their last two against Sacred Heart and UMass.
The issue is the teams he lists for this expansion are Gonzaga (great), San Fran, Seattle, Grand Canyon, Denver... Then he said by adding these teams we'd start rivaling a Power 5 conference...?
I get he's biased as a Gonzaga guy, but adding those schools is laughable. Adding 4+ schools that are at best DePaul level (and most much worse) would be disastrous for the Big East.

We've repeated the same stuff over and over, but I think at this point, if Gonzaga doesn't want to join the Big East without a WCC contingent then it's not worth it. I do think St. Mary's is a solid program and San Fran has potential upside but I'm not interested in the other schools.
If we really care about playing Gonzaga, then we should schedule them. As should the other Big East schools.
With the inclusion of the Pac-12 schools, I totally understand why Gonzaga admin would want to join the Big 12. Logistically, it is a lot easier to figure out.

Dalllas-Fort Worth: TCU, 1hr drive to Baylor, one hour connecting flight to Texas Tech, Kansas and Houston
Denver: Colorado
Phoenix: Arizona State, 2hr drive to Arizona
Salt Lake City: Utah, 1hr drive to BYU (former rival)
Minneapolis: one hour connecting flight to Iowa State, two hour connecting flight to Cincinnati
Atlanta: one hour connecting flight to UCF
For the Big East, there are literally no direct flights from Spokane airport to a single school. They'd have to connect from MSP or ATL. It would be a logistical nightmare.

I agree. I assume the Zags would be happy to play SJU at MSG (and Fox would probably love it too). Should just do that
Direct flights to and from Spokane is a worry for Gonzaga’s non-revenue teams not the Men’s basketball team which flies charter as does St. John‘s and probably all one Big East schools.
Yeah I don't think the Zags are joining the Big East for men's basketball-only.
They couldn’t if they wanted to as the Big East probably offers most of the other sports they play unless they go the Independent route with all of the other sports which is highly doubtful and probably leads to bigger expenses. I also would not be surprised if there are locales our non-revenue sports have to fly into that aren’t direct either.
Gonzaga to the BE was/is as mentioned quite often a logistical and a financial problem.
As has been discussed previously, most of Gonzaga’s sports primarily compete in regional invitationals and events. There will be a few head-to-head sports that will have it tough, though.
