Smith Injury

No way. We can't be this stupid. This had better be just gamesmanship.
I would say that Rick is setting the stage for an LMF "I told you so" moment but more likely he is just setting me up to be punk'd. I certainly hope it's the latter and not the former.

It would seem strange if he doesn't play since he came back in the game he got hurt and then played unnecessarily against Seton Hall. The question more likely is how he will play.

yes... this... what makes Dev so special is that one-of-kind freak athletic ability to come out of nowhere- grab rebounds - push the pace - bother opposing guards - get to the rim etc...

a "tentative" Dev... might potentially hurt the chemistry on court - with others expecting certain plays from him.

“And I’ll tell ya, Brady isn’t going to play again this year so I have him in an assistant role. One of his jobs is to keep me posted on this dreadful site they call red.fans. What an insane place that is. They never seem to be satisfied. Brady even told me today they were talking about my successor. We’re 16-3 and this is what they worry about. And he also says there’s a disguised UConn fan who says we are ‘same old St. John’s’ after every loss. And that there’s this silly fella who’s never happy no matter what. That’s when I decided to start messing with them”
Great job!

Any update on Dev tonight? However if he’s not on any better shape than on Saturday I think it’s a dumb move to play him. RP we love you but Dev should not have been playing Saturday!

Yes, no guarantee as medical science is an inexact science. Yet it is crystal clear if a player is injured 1/14, plays with the shoulder taped appearing obviously injured 1/18, then is too hurt to play at all 1/22...that he had NO business seeing the court in Newark
We are in agreement about him playing at Seton Hall.
