As the Soriano saga drags out, I presume our chances dwindle. We continue to be the worst closers this side of Edwin Diaz.

It's only been a week since he entered the portal, how is that dragging out lol. Soriano already said himself he's going to look around and try to make a decision by the end of this month. Just my impression. I'll be the first to admit I am no expert. As this is a fan message board, I presume nobody here is an expert and are all just guided by prior experience. I feel like I've seen this episode many times before, particularly with big men - we seem to be the lead horse coming out of the gate, and then big schools, handlers, AAU coaches and others get involved and we get left at the alter. By the way, not to say the quiet part out loud, but what does it tell you that Western Kentucky has a zoom call with him this afternoon? That would suggest to me - again, as an admitted layman - that someone in the kid's camp is seeking a bag of some kind. Not sure we are in that business, at least not for a kid of this caliber.

The NCAA literally doesn't punish guys who are openly paying players. In fact the guys doing it are mostly thriving. I would say a majority of the high conference teams are doing it and we're not, so that leaves us with low major talent competing with Bryant, LIU and Wagner for players. It's infuriating.
