We were not in Thompson’s final 8 last time and would bet he stays in his home state of Oklahoma. Mike Boynton has recruited him to OSU before and perhaps now he lands him.

All I know is that other schools seem to be signing kids off this transfer portal right and left but with us it’s like pulling friggin’ teeth to get kids to come here. This is not a knock on CMA at all because it’s been like this since the Norm days. I understand about facilities etc. but it’s still the Big East, it’s still New York City and I know the Garden is not the huge sell it once was but it’s still the Garden. It shouldn’t be this hard to get kids. There’s a problem somewhere? I understand lack of success also but other coaches take over downtrodden programs and get kids. I just don’t understand it.

Didn't we get 2 transfers in Smith and Wheeler?
Don't we have 6 other players on roster (Posh, Wusu, Pinzon, Traore, Stanley, Nyemi)?
And we are final 2 or 3 for another right now in Soriano?
And other irons in the fire?
Of course the X factor is Julian returning.

Just need to get to 10 players.  11 to 13 are going to be pointless since they won't play much and likely will be unhappy next spring.  Just focus on filling out 1-10

I think you hit the nail on the head with that statement, 11-13 likely will be unhappy. It's nice to have tons of depth but we're in a time when every kid wants to play.

Plus there are going to be hundreds of kids homeless well into May. If coach really needs three extra kids to give a minute each, they will be there and desperate for a free year of school. But we need good players first. I personally want to carry 11 and try to get a big and another guard/SF.

I think they'll add 2 more quality players.  1 Big (Hopefully Soriano) and 1 Guard.  Then with the last 2 scholarships do you like you said hold until May/June, I could even see them holding the last scholarship longer than that or not using it at all and using it on a mid-year transfer or save it for the 2022 class.

Hahaha. My team is absolute trash so there isn’t much I can say. I DID notice it though. I’ve been very vocal about sacking Poch in the first place so you can only imagine my hatred of Mourinho. This team has no heart, has a glass jaw, cannot mark whatsoever and he regularly makes terrible substitutions and questionable starting XIs. I’m almost (so close) to saying if losing the Cup final guarantees Mou’s sacking then I’m all for it. I want a trophy of any sort though.

Well he wouldn’t be the first Manager to be sacked after his club winning some hardware.  ManU sacked van Gaal right after winning the FA Cup so maybe you can have both.

 Mourinho won the League and Europa Cups while a United but still didn’t last more than 2 1/2 years.  I don’t know if Ole is the answer but I definitely have more confidence.
