SJU Power Forward Portal Targets

At this point it would seem that schools would not have an unlimited amount of NIL left in their war chests so if the $ similar would think with Pitino would be in good shape.

Assuming we get outbid for Watkins...hope to be wrong.
One thing I'd say is that the plan seems to have always been to get Smith/Kadary/Omier. So logically, it seems fair to assume we'll be offering the Omier money. That should be quite the hefty chunk.

Not saying you're wrong. Hell, I'm going to self-impose a ban of myself watching anymore highlights until a decision's made. But we've definitely got money to still spend.

Totally agree, and think we'd be a very tough 'out', but you still have to play the games and work any 'kinks' out, but yeah about as much a Disneyland roster as it gets for Johnnies Fans, lol.

We were all super high on last year’s team/roster but we didn’t even Dance after visions of a top 25 team danced in our heads. I’ll take a wait and see approach.

Thanks Mug.

I think Gayle could be in position to get wing minutes outside of the "2". Jones numbers seem to indicate he's more of a guard than a forward but still could be in line for those wing minutes as well.

Gayle Jr: 6'4, 31 minutes at Ohio State. 13.5 pts, 4.5 rebs, 3 assists

Jones: 6'5, 30 minutes at south Florida. 12 pts, 4 rebs, 4 assists

Burnett: 6'4, 31 minutes at Michigan. 10 pts, 4 rebs, 2.5 assists

Walters: 6'10, 12 minutes at Bama as a Freshmen. 5.4 pts, 2.4 rebs, 39% from 3.

Tschetter: 6'8, 18 minutes at Michigan. 7 pts, 2.4 rebs, 51% from 3

Howard: 6'8, 13 minutes at michigan as a senior. 2.6 pts, 1.8 rebs

Its definitely crowded.

Here's us..

RJ Luis: 6'7, 21 minutes. 11 pts, 4.6 rebs

Dunlap: 6'7, 12 minutes as freshmen. 3.2 pts, 1.5 rebs

Scott: 6'7, 30 minutes at South Florida. 11 pts, 5.6 rebs

I'll include Kadary as I think he's got a much better chance of getting 3/4 minutes than Zuby.

Kadary: 6'6, 33 minutes at Seton Hall, 16 pts, 7 rebs, 5 assists

Ok now that it's public can say this ..have spoken last few days with kid and his ppl ... yes it's about money but if it's even close they are really interested in how he'll be used and featured and how that helps his nba prospects. Example..in Lakers workout saw him as a 3 who needed better off dribble shot and wing D stopping penetration...he wants to be used in a way that helps him and not as a filler for a teams need..which btw is EXACTLY right approach. What school does that in combo with money...will come down to 3 as i understand with SJU right there

Jamir (and all players) should be looking for a Coach/Program that will utilize them in such a way that will enhance their NBA chances- I agree with that...

Being a St John's fan... last thing i want to see is a player, playing in such away to solely enhance his individual prospects as a Pro...and not enhance the team's ability to win...

Play for the Name on the Front... and the name on the Back prospers.... where have i heard that?
