I would welcome Kadary with open arms if he played a point-forward role and played unselfishly. Let someone like Bensley Joseph bring the ball up and spread it around.

Pick your spots. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to create for yourself and others. If he buys into that completely then I think Joseph-Wilcher-Richmond could be a Sweet 16 caliber 1-2-3 if they blended well and shared responsibilities like the UConn guys.

I don’t like this chatter about alphas lately.

Not that I know him personally, just feel Kadary views himself as a point guard and will want the ball in his hands as such. Agree, slotting him at 3 as point forward with two capable guards would be best for.

Kadary is a tremendous talent. Big lead guard who can get to the rim and set his teammates up. He's got a role on any offense in the country. From what I gather he has an incredibly sour relationship with Holloway, on top of NIL issues, thus the divorce on the horizon.

It's another head scratcher for me because I think he has an interesting skill set but not sure how it jives with what Pitino wants, and stresses, specifically the outside shooting need. We'll see

from a talent perspective I get it, from a culture/chemistry standpoint, not so sure. taking this point if the issue is with Holloway and his absence for 2/3 games mid season.

Not sure but seem to remember before transferring to SH that Kadary's first choice was SJU but CMA only had one scholarship available which he was holding for a recruit (forgot his name) who eventually went to G'Town and is no longer there.

Brooklyn kid probably would embrace playing under the "bright lights" at MSG.

I feel exactly the same. I don’t want a 6’5 PG on an extended NBA showcase.

What Pitino can do is point to 6’7 Francisco Garcia, who averaged 4.7 and 3.9 assists his last two years and 6’6 Terrence Williams who averaged 4.5 and 5.0 assists his last two years as proof of two point-forwards he got drafted in the first round.

They had ample opportunity to show off their full skill sets.

I may be in the minority on this, but, I don't want Kadary here at all. I don't like his game, or his on court body language.

Obekpa was the best shot blocker I’ve ever seen, but he was a terrible positional defender. He went for the block at all costs and that not only led to goal tending calls, but him being badly out of position — like a fighter after missing a haymaker.

His missed blocks led to a ton of dunks and layups.

So you want a point guard that can't shoot and a guy playing the 3 that can't shoot? Look, I like good defense as much as the next guy, but your 1, 2 qnd 3 all have to shoot above 30% from 3 if you want to win big in todays basketball.

Why??? Their NIL situation is weak, Kadary is from NY and Pitino will be better at developing him than Holloway even though I like Shaheen. If we can offer him more he will come.

Joseph is career 38% shooter from 3. Richmond career 34%
