I have only seen Lefty referred to as a guard. I have seen Glover referred to as a guard and a wing. When he signed, RP referred to him as a backcourt player with size who can shoot. No they aren't. Lefteris and Jaiden are SFs

That makes a little more sense but a 50% 3 point shooter doesn’t have to do much else to have a place on just about every team in the country. Must say never heard a poor rebounder referred to as lacking size.To clarify, when I said Brea lscked size i didn't mean height … I meant was rebounding. He's not known as a tenacious rebounder… And I know Rick was all over Jordan this season… I mean all over for him to become a better rebounder… I'd defer to the staff that they see something in Brea that might make him become more competitive at that skill.
Completely agree - but until you see them on the court together for a while all you can do is project from current player profiles to incoming player profiles. No question that you can have a much better team with less talent if it's well-coached and cohesive. Just look at Seton Hall and Providence.I understand you guys want to match new player vs. old player but I would seriously caution, that is not the way it works. Chemistry matters big time, commitment to the things that win as a team is what matters. Yes, you obviously need talent but the sum of the parts is what separates the wheat from the chaff, not this player is better than that player.
Do you think Joseph and Davis’ production will replicate Dingle and Jenkins who combined for 46 points against UConn in the Big East tourney?Agree with Mugs and Mase.
If what you're doing is replacing Jenkins, Alleyne, Soriano and Dingle with Omoruyi, Joseph, Davis and Dubar then (penciling in a Ledlum return) you are overall a little better than last year ... UNLESS you get a big step up from Wilcher and Dunlap OR you get significant contributions from Glover and Liotopoulos OR Luis blows up into an all BE performer.
All of that is very possible but I would certainly be more optimistic with a proven scoring quantity added to that mix.
If you don't get Ledlum back then that's a hole to fill, especially with Traore departing. I don't see Ejafor on the floor at the same time as Omoruyi.
I wonder if the staff may get whipsawed a bit - would be hard to wait around on Clayton and lose players like Brea or Dubar. You obviously prefer Clayton or equivalent but there's the old "bird in the hand" to consider.
Or was that one of Monte's movies, I forget...
Thanks. I was thinking that was a possibility for Ledlum if the NCAA drags out the appeal.Nothing . We can have 18 players and walk on and get paid
I think that Glover even played some guard in HS, and Pitino likes big guards, especially ones who can shoot. I wouldn’t be so sure he won’t play some guard especially cause the SF position may be stacked. No they aren't. Lefteris and Jaiden are SFs
In terms of Lefteris, he is listed as a guard for all the teams he’s played for. He handles the ball, brings it up court etc.No they aren't. Lefteris and Jaiden are SFs
Can't see him coming here. He opted to play in his home state, where he flourished, and he went to the Big Dance (which was a 7 seed and which lost to Colorado) by just 2 points).Clayton feels like way beyond wishful thinking honestly. It just doesn't make sense to me from his perspective/situation. If he were to come here why not last year with DJ in year 1 of Pitino. We know he had a pregnant gf who has since had the kid. So now that the kid will be basically 1 he'll come back to NY? It's the same situation as last year basically, so what changed that it's viable now as opposed to last year when being close to family was the priority? Doesn't really make sense to me. All signs point to him going pro if anything.
If I'm the staff of course I reach out and ask and gauge temperature, doesn't hurt.
Obviously I'd sign up for it in a heartbeat over literally anyone in the portal, including Cliff, that's how good I think Clayton is, especially paired with Sim. But I am absolutely not holding my breath and thus will hopefully be pleasantly surprised if it happens.
100%Glover is not a guard and cannot be put in the position to be one if you want to compete in the BE like you hope they will. So multiple guards in the portal are necessary .
I highly doubt anyone thinks of anymore more than me with JessicaTell that to Rick....He's blushed over Clayton more than mjmaherjr over Jessica Alba
Guilty here for Jennifer Aniston lol.I highly doubt anyone thinks of anymore more than me with Jessica
I get the feeling that Glover is a true wing who will not do a lot of ball handling and will be great on the run and with pull up jumpers. Lefty, on the other hand, I expect to be more comfortable handling/distributing, at least that is what scouting reports say. Time will tell.I think that Glover even played some guard in HS, and Pitino likes big guards, especially ones who can shoot. I wouldn’t be so sure he won’t play some guard especially cause the SF position may be stacked.
Lil insider info lol.... dapped up Jaiden at the concessions at the Prov Halftime... and this is after an hour of R+W pregame / couple first half tall boys... so i was friendly lol... He might be 6'4 on a good day. Still a big kid,,,,Every player these days can play multiple positions. Lefty is 6'5 so is Jaiden if not closer to 6'6.
