Fun exercise, but you’ll be reshuffling deck a bit in a few weeks imo

Ledlum would be a 15-20 minute guy I’d imagine. He’s so dangerous in that role. He offers so much there it’s crazy.
 
Still can’t see why Ayo would stick around. He could play w decent minutes at many lower level teams. I think this “learning from Pitino” theory seems flawed Imo. Really not important though

This team needs an alpha 3 level scorer that can play on or off the ball next to Sim. Originally thought Jordan Pope would be that guy but seems like that's become unlikely. Obviously Clayton fits that bill and would the absolute most ideal get of pretty much anybody in the country. While guys like DJ Davis are good players for a role like that, Clayton would be in a different stratosphere especially given his familiarity with Pitino already.

The biggest loss of the Pitino era so far was Clayton going to Florida last year. Hopefully if they pursue him again the outcome would be different this time.

The money is there ... the misinformation being spread by ppl trying to break scoops in insane. With a kid whose still playing his agent has been approached by 11 schools and rumors floating about him transferring to 4 diff schools.... and none of them are the 11 he's heard from

Brea is a 6’6 wing that plays the 2-3 so while there may be other concerns I can’t imagine size being one of them.

Rather than start Branch at the point, just as Lavin started Hardy there despite his lack of a great handle, Lavin went with Pointer to push the ball up court quickly, often off his own rebound. This transition offense provided a lot of open shots for Harrison and Greene and others. Essentially we had a 6 man rotation with 5 guards and Obekpa. Lavin's downfall here was that he was a lazy recruiter. He could sell high level talent like no tomorrow, but didn't do the heavy lifting to balance a roster by class, position, and depth.

Heavy lifting was probably contraindicated given his stealth status at that time.

Clayton is a former high school football player (supposedly had solid offers). I love basketball players (especially if they're good hoop players) who has a football background. They're usually tough SOBs.
