Perhaps, but neither demonstrated the ability to consistently knock down the open three, no less create threes for themselves. I’m hoping Dunlap will improve with more experience, but his struggles were not just a result of a lack of open looks.Everyone does. They didn’t get enough looks.
I'm looking for less games at CA not more. A few "cupcakes" and maybe DePaul and/or Butler. Hoping for at least 10 games at MSG (8 BE and a couple of other competitve games). If necessary play Hofstra and DePaul at UBS (wouldn't mind no games at UBS).not to throw off topic too much, but i think getting more games at CA will help with 3s. those are our home rims, and to your point, guys will have months of summer work outs at CA. more games at CA has plenty of advantages.
Well, nobody was given consistently open looks, so there is good reason for that.Perhaps, but neither demonstrated the ability to consistently knock down the open three, no less create threes for themselves. Dunlap took contested free throws?Well, nobody was given consistently open looks, so there is good reason for that.
Who would you have preferred?.......Koby Brea or Kadary Richmond? That’s what I find so bizarre. Coach P has emphasized the three point shot before it gained the popularity it has today. Yet in his portal recruitment, that aspect of the game was not prioritized? Since I can’t believe that his offensive emphasis has changed, he either was unable to get anyone who could shoot a three at a decent percentage, or believes he can develop the players he currently has into three point marksmen.
So Pitino “developed “ Donovan Mitchell but what chose to ignore Silva? Silva actually got worse every year.Who would you have preferred?.......Koby Brea or Kadary Richmond?
I think Richmond brings a lot more to the table hike Brea is mostly just a 3 point shooter.
Pitino can develop the shooting abilities of Richmond, Dunlap, Wilcher and Luis.
It would be nice to get a PF to rebound and shoot and maybe we may have to wait until the end of May for the last piece of the puzzle.

He took 12 free throws man. What are we doing?Dunlap took contested free throws?
Even with lack of any reliable shooters on roster I still want Mitchell though.
See what I did there?

My guy Jacob Meyer was shooting 40% from line in late January and ended up 67% for the year and closed the year making 29 of 30.
If our biggest problem is Brady Dunlap’s shooting, then we made the final four.
Off the rails, lol. This thread is BIPOLAR
This is crazy and getting the thread mangled. And for that, I’m out.No
When people say we need a guy who can stretch the floor, many on here keep saying we have Dunlap. Think Dunlap will be 9th or 10th man so he will neither be answer or cause of shooting problem.
At this point no one out there is someone that will solve the very real shooting problem we will have and Mitchell,I feel best player available so hope he picks us.
Percentages were much lower back than as 3 ball wasn’t prioritized. Like comparing passing stats in football to previous eras or strikeouts home runs and batting averages in baseball to years gone by. Games change.Michael Jordan's clone enters portal.
"Only 32.7 from three for career. Need someone to stretch the floor."
As a freshman and sophomore, he was a contributor even though his stats were lower than the final 2 years. He definitely got better and better, but he started half the games as a freshman and all his games his last 3 years (maybe missed 1 or 2, not sure). He played on teams that had upperclassman leadership, so his stats were a little low, but he still scored 6-7 points a game each of those first few years. I definitely think the time of the 4 year players moving up the chairs each year are gone, gone, goodbye. Not as a freshman or sophomore , he was an excellent athlete who improved all 4 years. A luxury that will rarely exist today.
