Vince might be able to guard 1 position.Notice the trend of the first two additions. Long, highly athletic, can guard 3+ positions, inside and out. Rick is building this team differently.

'We can't shoot." ...maybe?So when we lose to the Pirates at the Rock by 30, CRP will have to find an excuse other than 'slow laterally'. Maybe, 'Low basketball IQs.'[opposite of slow laterally].
That's been a refrain here at St. John's for decades, maybe it's in the Water at Union and Utopia?'We can't shoot." ...maybe?
He's long/quick enough that if he gets switched on the perimeter he can guard a big 3 (like an Aaron Scott type)Scott yes but what 3+ positions are Vince guarding?
Tony Stark explains the problem…'We can't shoot." ...maybe?
Any chance we can get involved with DJ Wagner? Combo guard that didn’t shoot it great but I’m sure a Rick can improve his shot.
If we are saving money on other kids like we theoretically have so far, I'd love to see us attempt to make the big splash.Don’t think so
I'd guess at this point the staff is hunting for home runs. Two good pieces assuming Vincent stays healthy and is quick and dedicated learner, as he seems to be, but a lot of work left in order to add an experienced talented game changing PG & another scorer. Can’t assume we luck out w waivers, so we need a couple of triples, preferably home runs of course.
Wish Pitino didn't keep saying Wilcher was a starter, because I think we'd be much better next season with two top-notch portal guards if we can land them. But delicate balance of course because you risk running Wilcher off.Two good pieces assuming Vincent stays healthy and is quick and dedicated learner, as he seems to be, but a lot of work left in order to add an experienced talented game changing PG & another scorer. Dillon Mitchell still listed. So interesting.
DeivonI'd guess at this point the staff is hunting for home runs.
Pitino has been offering guys money since his Hawaii days he’ll be fine. Some said we’re going to finish in the bottom four of the conference next year. Not saying we’re going to get these guys but I’ve learned to relax a bit.
I was freaking out last year and we landed a number of really good kids. We have a hall of fame coach and by all accounts a good amount of NIL $.
Yeah, Pitino may not be a young man but I don’t think that means he has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to NIL. Of course he’s fallible but the school and he have made a big investment with the program and I still have faith we’re going to get some good kids.
Good chance there's two additions this week.
Rick has said Sim is combo guy who will play PG & off ball which is great for him imoWish Pitino didn't keep saying Wilcher was a starter, because I think we'd be much better next season with two top-notch portal guards if we can land them. Beware of under estimating Witcher. Smith, Richmond, and Mitchell. There. That is a splash. If we are saving money on other kids like we theoretically have so far, I'd love to see us attempt to make the big splash.
I think we should strive to bring in two quality guards, but it may only be one.. . . depends largely on the two guards TBD that still need to be brought in.
That would be like the wave that took my hot friend's top off at Robert Moses so I'm all in on that.Smith, Richmond, and Mitchell. There. That is a splash.
His #s will be heavily influenced by the kind of PG we bring in. If we get a table setter like Deivon Smith, he’ll get plenty of corner 3’s.I think his numbers will be a touch better than Taylor, but depends largely on the two guards TBD that still need to be brought in.
I remembered you said that in the fog of gloom that was hanging over the Board and was going to congratulate you. Guess i don't have to now?
