'tentative' .... a word we should get familiar with...
I put that in there on purpose as things can and will change and cover my butt as a lot of people love to point out when I'm wrong.

That being said there's a lot I just can't put on there until it becomes public / either by the school's request or because things are really up in the air and not confirmed. Have faith

AHhh....So youre keeping the Clayton/RJ Davis visits close to the vest - that's ok....

Last year's picks were no slouches. Plenty of posters...almost all...were elated with the roster in October.
Never said they were slouches. I am pointing out there is a core in place and the staff will be selective building around them.

Last year, only Soriano returned who played major minutes.

That wasn't the issue. The roster was pretty good. The issue was two fold:
1)Overhauling essentially the entire roster in a few months and
2)The coach was brand new.

I think that led to some growing pains as well as some other issues. But I do believe they were playing well at the end and would have loved to see them get a shot in the NCAAs. But they have themselves to blame for a lot of that.

Pitino is not overhauling the entire roster and he is not new. He has a year coaching and does not feel the need to rush.

Pitino:
"I knew this summer that we were in trouble."
"After I spent the summer with them, I knew it was gonna be a difficult year. I knew it."
So they were in trouble as he predicted for 3/4 of the season and then did a complete 180 and became the team that finished the year very strong; how exactly, divine intervention?
I am taking away nothing from him because his record very obviously speaks for itself but the reality is it took him that long to figure it out from a coaching standpoint and the players that long from theirs. But it could have happened sooner, and to be clear, I am certainly not blaming anyone, but the turnaround happened, so common sense says it could have happened sooner.
Personally, I would give that statement a lot more credence had they never figured it out.
