I'd still want another starting caliber guard, but I'm not going to complain if he's our first commit.

Yup I said earlier on this thread if we get Krissa I think Pitino will bring in another 2-guard which means Wilcher is first guard off the bench and prob looking at 15-20 mpg this year.

I’m starting to come around on Krissa. I think paired with the right 2-guard that’s a pretty good backcourt. I’d expect his defense to be much improved under Pitino.
Not sure why people think his defense is going to suddenly improve with Pitino. This year’s team got called out by Pitino in mid February for their poor defense so he wasn’t able to fix theirs in just a few months. Why would Kriisa be any different especially when he’s starting from an even worse point?

Don't disagree but mistakes can be more easily erased with a better shotblocker or two downlow.

Defense is mostly effort and positioning and I think both would improve under Pitino.

Agree, it is one thing to assume RP can develop freshman, sophomores over time, but these one year free agents are often relatively unteachable. No knock on Rick’s player development skills, more of a commentary on one year guys.
