Great sign IMO.

Gives the team time to prepare either way.

I don't think the NCAA would care as much about our response as it would about Jay Bilas' or Dick Vitale's response. And that timeline gives pro-kid pundits enough time to really rip the hell out of the NCAA for doing the wrong thing. I like the spot we're in so far.

In this regard, this one time, the ‘media’ are our mightiest allies.
I think and hope, it is looking good.

If it doesn't work out, Coach can always have Mitch suit up - always want to have a Plan B.

True NCJohnnie. Provided Mully can ‘find’ Mitch.
Joking.
Let’s go Johnnies.
Hi Mr P.

Do you have an update on the waiver status of Heron?

Thanks so much.
and will it be on TV and if so what channel?

The ‘other’ factor that makes me believe strongly that Mustapha will get his hardship waiver request granted is that the kid is a model citizen: a great student/athlete with a high GPA and involved with younger kids in his local community.
The NCAA will not, imo, pass up an uplifting PR opportunity to help a good kid in what has been a lousy ‘PR’ year for the NCAA and the sport.

We Are ST John's! Highly doubtful we catch a break

I saw it. Not sure how serious it is, but can't say I'm shocked. As We are SJU said "We are Saint John's" otherwise known as "snakebit U". Just hoping it is not a fatal glitch. Never expect rationality from the NCAA.

What on earth could it be?
See Happy’s glitch attachment
You've got to be kidding me. I was really thinking this was likely to happen judging by recent waiver news.

Can anybody clarify? I know this is sensitive material, so understood if not.

I stand by my 10% chance it gets approved prediction from earlier this summer. We're talking about a program that screwed up paperwork to get a summer camp opened last year. A program that doesn't understand how to put together an out of conference schedule. Why on earth is anyone shocked that we may not have properly navigated this waiver process when they are known to be difficult to obtain? When you just accept the dysfunction and ineptitude it hurts much less.

I have no idea what this ‘road block’ could be and hope it clears pronto.
But, to me, it didn’t matter what St. John’s did or did not do with ‘paperwork’.
I was and am betting on the Heron family pre-checking their chances, getting Auburn’s consent, the Heron family’s clear case for hardship to be granted, and Mustapha’s superior ‘resume’ to get it done.
Still hoping that’s the case.
