“Glitch” over roadblock perhaps. Hopefully :)
I read this several times and I still don't know what it means lol.

Any cryptographers??
They closed Blatchley Park years ago, doesn't matter, even those guys couldn't decipher a lot of stuff here.:)

I'll take glitch to mean unexpected but perhaps termporary…. Roadblock would seem more permanent.

fingers crossed.

Means nobody knows sheet.

Without Heron we are a 5th place finisher in the Big East, an NCAA bubble team who's OOC schedule will make us an NIT team in the end. With Heron we finish second in the Big East and the OCC schedule doesn't matter and we are a lock NCAA team. So much riding on this kid being eligible

Agree 100% MG and it is clearly not a lock. Fingers crossed, which is all us Johnnie fans can ever do.

Clueless as to what this ‘glitch’ is, or 'may the Hoops gods forbid’, a ‘roadblock’.
Something has obviously surfaced.
Here’s to a favorable resolution for the Heron family, and an imminent beginning to his St. John’s career.

Ah okay, so "over" means "rather than/instead of".... hopefully that's the case.

I guess a picture would leave to a whole lot of interpretation without an explanation but having your name attached to camps and skills clinics also leads to interpretation from compliance committee. Glitch is the proper word and not roadblock :)

Precisely the area of NCAA review as I understand. Hopefully it is not a game breaker.

I will literally give you guys anything to stop repeating the same points over and over. Paultz is monitoring how many times the word "timeline", "glitch", etc. are used. I suggest you guys invest in a thesaurus, because the board is becoming unreadable and I can't bring myself to scroll past things I don't agree with.

I'm the new content enforcement intern and will be assisting Paultz with this matter. Thank you for your cooperation! ;)

What I love most are the comments about Paultz's avatar. Because if you read the the site hours later he likely has changed his avatar again so you have no idea what those are actually truly reacting to.

I have no idea what are chances are. But, if only a small number of transfers will be denied the hardship waiver, our player will be one of them.

Younger fans, embrace this fact because it's just how it is at St. John's. It mostly has to do with an aversion to hiring an experienced and savvy AD.

The way I read it, it's just a "hiccup".

I remain constructive on Mustapha getting his waiver request granted. If the merits of his appeal are as legitimate as presented in the media, there’s no way the family doesn’t get a favorable decision at a time when the NCAA’s transfer rules are undergoing massive adjustments.
Potholes, bumps, ‘roadblocks’, the St. John’s ‘curse’, I don’t care...it gets done.

If it’s a ‘compliance’ issue over using his name for ‘anti-violence’ tournaments (what a terrible thing to do!), seems to me that’s a slap on the wrist in this day and age of massive $$$$’s to get talent to play for school Y, and not related to Mustapha’s ‘hardship waiver request’.
So, maybe, giving ‘some’ reluctant credence to the St. John’s ‘curse’, the NCAA slaps a 2- game penalty on the kid in the OOC season, but otherwise he’s eligible for the Season.
NP amigos, in that case!
Well, it's good to know that people "suspect" Mitch will be here and completely engaged from now through the end of the season. And, further, that he will be pulled in when the situation seems closable.

Wait a minute, he is a full time assistant coach. Am I supposed to be thankful? #BushLeague
I hear you, JohnnyFan, but if Mitch is fully into his 'full-time' AC slot--isn't that a good thing, even if it is 'normal', and even if the previous status was unacceptable? At least now, we're not at a recruiting disadvantage to everybody else, and the glass is no longer 'half-empty'.
Let the games begin.

What is so hard to understand that a coach has terms that would allow him to be away from NY in the summer? Now if his contract called for him to be here during the summer and he wasn't, that's another story. I don't know what his deal is or what he is making, so why speculate?

Not debating his contract terms just saying that any institution that would negotiate such terms (if they are so) with what is supposed to be a very valuable assistant coach position shouldn't pretend that they care if their basketball team is any good. No real high major would tolerate it.

I'd actually rather think that Mitch's contract doesn't give him the summer off but Coach allowed him to take this summer off for some good reason that is between them. Time will tell.
