SHAMORI PONDS DRAFT PROJECTION & SIMON ???
hope he doesn't lean on Harden for tips on defense.
Yeah, I was more referring to his offensive skill set. Shamorie already uses a step back similar to Harden’s.

Everything I’ve been hearing is that they think he will be a PG. Not a bad spot as Paul is getting up there in age.

Looks like shamorie has some real competition on the rockets summer league team, this Clemons kid is legit at only 5'9!

Shamorie is wearing #60 and scored 2 points in 5 minutes in the first quarter
Shot 0-2 from 3 point land

Update: Shamorie played a total of 8 minutes in the first half - 2 points, 1 rebound
Not playing the point - playing off the ball
Rockets getting blown out by 21 at halftime

Think he ended up with 4 points on 2 layups and 0-4 from 3 from what I saw. Rarely saw the ball.

Hope this works out for him but just watching 1game and this was only summer league there are so many really good players I've never heard of or seen before. I predict he goes to Europe.

Also think if he was playing with a better cast that is more talented team he would have done better , everything was on his shoulders

Between Ponds, Simon and Clark, it is Clark who seems to have the best perspective regarding his basketball abilities.

A few of the moments I saw they had him playing SF.. not good

I don't think that's fair to say.

If Clark was invited to NBA Summer League he would have been there too. The European scouts watch these games too and Europe is still the fallback option, outside of G-League.

Justin on ESPN at 7:30 tonight, Knicks on ESPN at 9:30 and Shamorie on ESPN3 at 10. Simon & Ponds giving NBA their best shot (which anyone would if offered). They each have 3 more summer league games to play and just maybe impress their clubs enough to get a contract. An uphill battle for sure. If it doesn't work out, they will play overseas and hopefully have nice careers there like many of our former players.

And don't forget to squint and try to see Tariq Owens (PHX) as he attempts to deal with Mitchell Robinson in their game tonight vs. the Knicks. Good luck Tariq! The Johnny fans are cheering you on!

Sometimes tv analysts pull stuff out their butts. “I like Simon’s game. He can shoot the ball and defend “. Huh???

Simon played 30 minutes. Overall solid. Huge block.

10 pts(5-11 fg, 0-1 FT, 0-1 3pt), 6 reb, 1 blk, 1 stl

Simon just needs to learn how to shoot. He’s got a great nba body and athleticism: Can defend and do a lot of things.

Missed the Bulls game tonight, but see JS had good stats. I continue to believe he has a better chance than Shamorie of a job in the NBA. Terrific attitude, great athleticism and elite defender. We will see, but I wouldn't count him out.
